haha you plebs Well I have officially had what was nearly my worst day ever today. Firstly work was an absolute bitch, everything that could go wrong did and I reckon I could stay there until june without sleep and still not finish my "to-do" list! Secondly I had a call from my mother saying the bank had been in touch to say my cheque had bounced - due to the signatures not matching! They said they tried to call me yesterday which was true in a way. However it was while i was at work from a withheld number and they left no message - helpful! So I phone the owner and ask if he will take cash - he says yes. I transfer £10k to my dads bank account (10k limit on transfers!) and he says he can scrape the rest together until tomorrow. The owner then calls to say his wife doesnt want that much cash in the house over night - fair enough really. I call home to tell dad not to bother but he is at the bank already, with his phone switched OFF I might add. So we finally manage to arrange that my dad meets the owner at his bank who then pay the cash into his account and I can pick the car up later........which is NOW! So I will take a couple of quick pics when I get back but nothing special as I am betting it wont be as clean as I like it to be when taking snaps So massive thanks to my parents and fingers crossed the day will end with me picking up a mint car and United seeing off Roma later on!

if your paying cash then it is! Bit harder to tell once you bring mortgages into the equation I'd probably put sensible hat on and put £7200 in an ISA then spunk the rest on wheels,exhaust,filter etc

I'm guessing most people on here have experienced what I'm feeling right now. My cheque will clear tomorrow which means I pick my 04 plate GT up at 6pm! Can't wait....it will be my first "sports car" and first rwd car so certainly wont be very happy if it snows or even rains tomorrow! I will add pics as soon as I get a chance (i.e. run out of money for petrol!)

if you do get an R26...sign up to meganesport.net (think its called that anyway! if not its something similar) I went on there and said I was looking to buy...someone pm'd me the number of a guy who works for renault who offered me a brand spanker with a list price of £21k+ (full leather etc) for £17,200! The local stealers wouldnt come down past £19k when I tried them.

I nearly bought a brand new R26 instead of a Z.....love them, but couldnt live with the frenchness day in day out I dont think! Can you get the R26 spec for £13k already!?!? I was looking a couple of month back and you couldnt get one for under £16k! Christ so it is true that the depreciation is quicker than the car

Well I went for the one I first posted about, paid £15k for it in the end......pick it up tuesday if the bank do their jobs properly! Probably could of got a better deal but my temporary insurance on my old mans car runs out tuesday so didnt have a fat lot of time. Its clean and tidy and in the exact spc I wanted anyway so I'm not fussed........just feckin excited!

well the guy phoned today to say he was willing to come down to £15k.....still not over the moon about that so I will have to have a think, it was tidy and he did seem to be a genuine guy who cared for the car - which counts for alot IMO. The only thing with jap imports is alot of them seem to be a bit erm......untidy, as in pings and bumps all over the place and scruffy interior etc. Thats not to say they are all like that obviously, but if I'm honest if I can get a UK GT at what I consider to be a good price then I will go for that. At 21, insurance is also an issue and imports arent as kind in that department. Going to view another one later in the week so fingers crossed I might have one on the drive by the weekend

I ruled the 2nd one out purely because of those parking sensors, saw it the other day. Its one of those things that I just couldnt live with! he started it

ye I agree, this one just happened to be the one nearest to me so thought it was worth a look at least. I went today, it looked a good example and was in great nick. I initially offered £14k but ended up walking away to think about 15. There are plenty about however, so I'm not rushing into anything. The fourth one down you have shown is next on my viewing list hopefully, I phoned them the other day but got no reply.

I was debating it bumrush, have seen one I liked for under 13k actually...I know its silly but I dont like the square rear numberplate and cba with the hassle of chaning the rear bumper etc. Only really want tints,nice set of wheels, maybe exhaust and some minor engine mods so GT spec would suit me, suppose and imported ST would too though in that case.

If he is willing to play ball with the price by more than a little then I may go for it, we shall see! I have always liked the bose stereo that is in my old mans audi, plus its just one less thing to think about upgrading etc!

Hi all, I am going to see a Z tomorrow! Details are as follows: 2004 GT, 52500 Miles, Gun metal. ABS, Air conditioning, Alarm, Central locking, Ray alloy wheels, Heated leather seats, 12 months mot, 6 months tax and just had service, well looked after. NO canvassers. £15,995. I personally think that price is quite high, what would people advise it is worth? Do all GT's come with bose speakers? Would the service that has been done be likely to be the big one (P3 is it?) Also, just general buying advice would be great....unfortunately I dont think my insurance will cover me so may have to make do with being driven around in it or getting my old man to test drive it thanks in advance, Rik.

White is my 1st colour of choice when I buy mine in a month or so. Everyone I have asked says white is easier to keep clean than black, which is the colour of my current car so I'm not too worried.
