I moved from a Civic Type-R (well one car in between) and as per the comments above, driving high revs in the R meant my mpg was low so doubt you'll notice the difference! And welcome to the site

I think it's more of a case of remembering to switch them off! I've spent 5/6 years driving cars which have done it for me at a much earlier turn point!!
