  1. Cheers mate, we've been on the road 10 days now, and the Honeymoon's not even half way through! I'll probably be heading back through the passes next week, so hopefully the weather will be better. The road on the italian side of the Bernadino is massive, and then it's basically a constant 5% downhill motorway for miles down to Lugano.

  2. Going well I see Will, me and Fran have made it to Como for a weeks chilling out. We stopped at the Belvedere stop too, but didn't go inside the glacier as we'd already had our glacier viewing earlier in the day ;)

Think we were on the Furka about 2-3pm, and it was ok going up, but murky the rest of the way.

  3. The pictures really give a feel of a really close, cosy and friendly day, must have been lovely :)

Cheers Struan, we had 41 for the ceremony and lunch, then about 140ish for the evening. We got married at 10.30am, so we had meals at the correct times (not 3pm!!!) and really had a full chilled day of it. I don't know how people manage to fit it all into an afternoon/evening, as our lunch finished at 3pm and people started arriving for the evening do at 3.30pm to have a few beers in the garden and get ready for the Hog at 6pm. :drunk: Think I got round to talk to everyone though, so that was the main thing.

  4. Hello all!

Yes, while some members were busy partying at Lakez, another soiree was occurring just a couple of valleys over. The Lady Francesca and I got married after 9 long years together (just kidding dear!).

We were married (and partied) at the Woolpack Inn, Eskdale. We wanted a very casual village fete flavour to things, so we got people to bring cake and puds Bake-Off style.

We also really wanted to avoid as much of the wedding industry as possible, so to that extent, the good old Zed club came in very handy. Massive thanks to Stanski and Chris`I for performing photography duties, and Chris' wife Amanda for the amazing flower arrangements after helping Fran ram-raid the florists on thursday afternoon (Dont mention the W-word!!!).

Stan in particular was definitely a wedding snapper in a previous life, I believe he's also available for christenings and Bar Mitzvahs. ;)

Also thanks to Martinmac for originally hiring young singer-songwriter David Kay to play at LakeZ two years ago. He was great then, and now even better at the ripe old age of 17!?? He was preceeded by another bright young talent, our friends daughter Sophia Brennan, who also sang Ashs' Shining Light for the first dance.

Anyway, it was a cracking weekend, and we really must do it again sometime!

  5. Maxxis ;)

On a serious note though, are these a terrible tyre? When searching for some tyres next month, these were always flagging up.

ive had maz1 on my 350z and the old mans WRX never an issue mate handled well snetterton on my track days

Conversely my friends 370Z had these on when he bought it, and is keen to get rid of them once they wear out. Previously he's mostly ran Continentals on various hot hatches.
