  1. I don't think i can afford all that! And there's no way on this earth i'm paying £1k for a satnav that can't do post codes!

I might conside the gt pack if i can haggle like £2k of the list price! Anyone else got decent money off new?

  2. [How can you stand next to that and not smile

I know where there is a very nice black one for sale ;)

I wasn't ready for the camera dammit! :)

I have a pic where i'm laughing with the dealer, but it makes me look a bit mental, so i left it off!

i have decided that if i'm having one, it'll be a new one. It appeals too much, don't ask why - cos i don't know!

  3. Went down my local nissan dealers today for my first wee spin in a Zed. The weather was distinctly rubbish for driving a 300bhp RWD car, but i just took it (fairly) easy and all was good.

    The coversation with the dealer was something like;

    "How long have i got?"

"Hmm, Did you have a route in mind?"

"Not really, just going to follow my nose."

    "Two hours long enough?"

"............ err, i think that'll be fine!" :yahoo:

    "Here's the keys, have fun."

    " :teeth: "

Put a good few miles in, and managed to visit one of my friends who has just bought a Clio R27. He was most jealous! :D

p><p>Unfortunately, the test drive proved to be even better than i thought it would be, so now i

The Zed proved to be ballistic, and infinitely more solid and refined than other quick cars i've driven (just a 225bhp TT and my mates MR2 turbo to be honest!). Well, the Audi was well built, but it was like driving though a letterbox, the Zeds cabin is much more airy.

Enough raving, it will be mine - oh yes, it will be mine! :D lol.

    Andyk.

  4. ...Well not all bad but ended not so well :(

As some of you may be aware I was out looking at Zed's yesterday & drove 2...

A JDM Tiptronic one & a UK GT Spec

Both were amazing with the manual obviously being better & lots more fun.

By god are they quick...that extra 100bhp over my Cupra is SO noticable & the drive...absoulutley amazing...I MUST have one :D:D

That was the good bit the bad bit was getting home to try to sort the finance...cant get anything from anyone :(

The reason being that as I'm in a new job they wont entertain me for at least another 3 months (my probabtion period) which means it will be some time before I can move upto a zed which sucks big time & was a serious kick in the pants yesterday

Anyway doesnt mean I wont get one...just have to wait a tad longer...which might not be so bad because I could at least save some more towards it in the first place ;)

    Sorry just thought I'd share

    Neil

Where did you try for your finance?

Just the usual...my bank, Sainsburys bank, Alliance & leicester etc.

Could have probably got the dealers finance but at about 11% no way I was even entertaining it when the highstreet rates are about half that.

    Neil

According to my local Nissan dealer the APR of their finance is negotiable! Although i think it helps if you have a better quote from somewhere else.

    Andy.

  5. You buying brand spankers new Andy?

Hehe, with a bit of luck yes! I know nearly new would save a chunk of change, but a) i definatly want a MY07, and B) i'm planning on keeping it for a good while, so second hand value isn't that big a deal.

Oh, and c) i don't think i've ever seen a second hand red one (i bet there's one on ebay now i've said that! )

The gt/non gt decision is made though.

    Andy.

  6. Right then, i am just thinking of getting my finances sorted out for an eventual Zed purchase.

Obviously the options list is a litany of expense, but i quite fancy spec'ing the Nismo bodykit just save faffing about with bodyshops etc after delivery.

Is this a bad choice? Yes i know i'm paying through the nose, but the convenience is quite compelling!

I'm planning on a red non-gt as i dont fancy paying £2.3k when the seats are the only extras i'm interested in.

    Cheers,

    AndyK
