  1. Looks like you saw the Zed light before a lot of us
  2. ii decided no drinking in the Zed so no holders for me! Maybe make from a bit of ply... spot of ronseal ....
  3. Must be a roadster thing mate I did exactly the same thing the first week I got mine! Just make sure non split on the handbrake area - as your warning light will want to glow every now and again - its fine once it dries out ! The door cup holders are only good for tiny bottles of water also! I know the Japs love teeny weeny stuff but surely they can figure out the average sizxe of a mug or bottle! I think there are plenty of cup holder things on the web you can use?
  4. He must be a a far better driver than I thought to make those hits so equally spaced Oh yes indeed - but the Scottish Mozzies tend to fly in formation - - have a look next time your up the Colin Its a hunting instinct when they are trying to chase Haggis
  5. ooops!! Get yourself down to Aldi - they have a compressor and air chisel kit - ideal then you can chisel out some of the tarmac - just enough for the Zed?
  6. Alex he da boss indeed! By the way - those round circles on his front bumper not extra vents as people may think ....no no nooooooo....they are just where the Mozzies have hit the front of his car - at the Warp speeds Alex does they do more than just splat on the bumper!
  7. Interesting - think I may have been near there..... did'nt Misery guts go there in the Britains best drives series in the Cambridge or was it the Zodiac?
  8. wow there's some tin there! Tell us the rest of the cars you had? Are they all made up from bits of others? Mine were generally combined with washing machine parts!
  9. Wow your braver than me mate !! well done Stew looks like fun but you need to train Jayne on how to take quicker pictures
  10. Oh no mate thats not good at all! Looked like a cool motor there - bit of a stealth beast
  11. Some very nice pics there mate ! Think everyone in the Universe has either owned borrowed or scrapped a Corsa in their life - even we had one - N reg in that weird - is it blue or is it purple colour! Like the wheels on the golf Weird coincidence last night? I was sat in The Bengal Dynasty in Queensferry on a mates leaving doo just happen to glance out of the window and my old van drives past! Still looks good and complete with the original dints That was 4 years ago I gave that away to mate at work (who then sold it the other year for spares!)
  12. Short and sweet - just think of all the money you have saved by just having that not old Beetles, fiestas, clios and the like !
  13. Stew - I know someone who has approximately 11 bikes in his garage - Classic bikes Matt - thanks for that insite into your car life Think you should take up a job as a professional car crasher though Its good to read all these little gems - surprising how much of our lives are spent or revolve about cars? Ok we are more biased Petrol heads than most but even so ... Any more stories or pictures?
  14. Lot of old bangers in this thread! viewtopic.php?f=21&t=24144 My VW transporter van - gets the abuse - Zed gets the red carpet!
  15. Stew does polishing for love - he's really good at it - problem is you need to wear sun glasses when you see his car its so bright! Now Stew if you could just do this on my van!
  16. Why do bikers have more than 1 bike - is it a collecting thing - like fine bone china or fridge magnets!
  17. Great little stories there folks Trust Sarnie to up the game with Italian exotica - while the rest of us plug around in MR2's , fords and Clios! Any more for any more? Have you noticed the common themes here? Some cars you will regret selling or crashing while others you hate with such passion! Oh and a lot of racers on this site too
  18. Look on www.carandclassic.co.uk dont laugh too loud at some of the prices but some previously expensive stuff is dirt cheap these days?
  19. wow thats a colleciton and a half! I know what you mean mate I never paid more than a few hundred for my old bangers and still dont today - if its an old Beetle or Classic - but will never ever ever buy brand new again - the MR2 and Rex were fab but lost too much on them! But then you always think you will keep them forever and not be too fussed but it never happens does it!
  20. Thanks Mate I never speed over there at all - they carry guns dont they! I went in 2006 and yes I am careful - I have the jacket, triange and bulbs in the car, but first time in the Zed to go over there. I know the French Police dont mess about and to be fair to them they dont make a drama out of a crisis like the highways agency do here!! When I was there last a wagon driver had obviously fallen asleep at the wheel and landed his 18 wheeler in a ditch at the side of the road. There was exactly 1 yes just 1 local bobby in his poxy Police Clio directing traffic - helping the ambulance and making sure the wagon did'nt go up in flames before the fire brigade arrived all by himself no drama and no need to close the roads within a 10 mile radius like they do over here when someones stubbie aerial falls onto the hard shoulder!
  21. sound interesting - HBO do some of the best stuff - shame they keep it home market a lot of the time? Did you ever See Carnival - the weirdest but most compulsive series ever - and they sodding chopped it! Bar tenders!
  22. Wow What other 20 cars have you had then?
  23. Damn they all look nice - Jay just get another ZED and do one of each!
