There are a few with high mileage for under 3k. Clio Williams is doable, I just don't like the idea of spending too much cash on a 2nd car for shopping trips and giving mates lifts. Could go up to about 5k, but was aiming at around 3.

I'm after a 2nd car, my list goes as far as: Audi A3 Alfa Romeo 147 Clio Williams Renault Clio Sport 172 I'm after something basically which isn't a crappy micra, or polo, etc, preferably with leather seats.. air con etc. Any recomendations, or what not to buy? A couple of mates have had Alfa Romeo's and said they are just utter shite for reliability. Seat Leon any good?

It was on Speke road coming down from Aigburth... do you know that retail park on Speke road? It was just as you come into view of that before the set of traffic lights, he was sat in one of those mobile speed camera vans. Thanks for the responses though, it's at their discretion as to what punishment I deserve I suppose, fingers crossed for the 3 points/fine then. Anything more would push my insurance through the roof

I had a nice letter waiting for me this morning from Merseyside Police saying I got caught doing 61mph in a 40 limit. I've already sat a speed awareness course to get me out of some previous points, and I can't sit another of these within two years of eachother. Can anyone tell me what I am likely to recieve after I send this NIP off? I'm hoping for 3 points and a small fine, although do you think it will be more being that it is quite a bit over the limit (6 points + fine?)

Looked spot on mate I take the gf into work down that way each morning at that time, tend to see a few regulars in the morning.

Had a great day out, covered about 300 miles, the first proper outing in the zed where I've actually been able to have a play on some dry roads. Tough competition against a VXR Monaro and a few VX220 VXR's/Turbos, although it handled itself very well, I'm now thoroughly confident I made the right choice buying a Zed!

I disallowed eating in mine after the bag of skittles incident, seriously they are the worst things ever, finding one weeks later forever stuck to something. Another thing that winds me up is the way (women especially) slam and open the car door. Every time I have to remind my gf not to just throw the door open and nearly snap it from the hinges. It made such a noise last time she did it it made me cringe. I say ban all women and girlfriends in general.

Myself (350z), a VXR Monaro, a Porsche Cayman, and a Crossfire are hopefully (weather permitting) having a trip around the Lakes this Sunday and meeting up with a bunch of VX220's along the way. http://www.vx220.org.uk/forums/index.ph ... opic=62503 Outbound to the Lakes Rather than spending a large part of the day travelling on the M6. We can get to Kendal on a off piste route which is approx 50 miles longer than going up the M6, but far more challenging/ interesting /scenic etc, with part of the Yorkshire Dales thrown in for good measure. Run around The Lakes Meet Meo (who lives in the Lakes ) & meet the N/E gang for Lunch. Then buzz around the various Lakeland locations. Return Home Back down the M6 home, as we should have had enough of the twisties by then , and will want to get home. We we're going to initially meet up at 10AM at the Boddington Arms in Salmesbury, its on the A59 Whalley Road opposite British Aerospace Postcode = BB2 7LE I was thinking if anyone might be up for it from these forums? Have a wee 350z meet in the Lakes or just come along for the drive/pub lunch? Digsy? Martin?
