  1. Look awesome, it's a shame the zeds didn't come with these out the factory, but definitely a mod worth doing
  2. I had one of these on my 350, supplied by Tarmac, there a nice bit of kit & I paid the vat on it
  3. Thanks Andy, me neither. I spent a lot of time & £££ on my 350 to get the paint where it was, but this is on another level. Hopefully catchup some time this season
  4. There not allowed to dissect my brain until I'm finished with it
  5. So today is a day that has been a long time coming. A lot of blood sweat & tears have gone into this project just to get to this point. With a little pull up the drive from the trusty porker (didn't want to push it for the fear of marking the paint) It's back ready for the re-fit All tucked away for tomorrows adventure & before anyone says it, I know the panels are not lined up, they were just put on to get the polishing done & to transport it. Bonnet needs to come back off for the refit & the boot/doors need tweaking once the locks & glass are back in.
  6. Thanks, but do you actually think I watch TV? very unlikely but thought you might have sky in the workshop/garage I spend all my money on cars & beer, I can't afford sky or a woman that will put up with my petrolhead antics I have a television that is used just for F1 & BTCC
  7. I reckon there is 30hours alone in just this panel But with this finish it's totally worth it!!
  8. 2837 hours and 59 minutes. Well, at least it feels that way when you work on it Probably double that if the truth is known

    R888... R?!

They look awesome & I'm sure they will do what they are intended for. Trackday fun My negative input as that seems to be the trend nowadays: Going to need some suspension upgrades to benefit from these
  10. I was referring to the paint, the rest of the DB9 is nothing to me but a Mondeo in running shoes, they don't even drive as well as an XKR or even a 350 or 370z
  11. Slow? Where did you disappear to on Sunday? you were behind me then after a few corners nowhere to be seen
  12. not as nice as the db9, thats just had a full respray & polished COMPLETELY flat, it's actually 100% perfect!
  13. Need to have a nosy under my car to see if it has the DOF IMS upgrade, if not maybe we can do a 'group buy'
  14. Yeah going to go for back flips next week. Also it appears I have learn't the art of painting No need for flat polishing the bumpers Went & re-paneled the car early this morning & the guys got to work with the polishing today, hopefully I'll be collecting it tomorrow if the trailer is available The car looks tiny compared to the R8 & DB9
  15. Going for a bike ride of course, got a new ramp from DU11 FVC
  16. So today consisted of doing a quick stealth oil cooler with thermostat on a HR 350 All done with plenty of time to spare Got the bonnet hinge cleaned back, primed & painted Then the door cills with some high build primer as they were quite scratched Then they were blocked back smooth, ready for some paint Then it was onto the bumpers, want to get them done so I finish with all the dust before I bring the car back Filler was blocked back to the shape I think I want, then got some etch foloowed by high build primer on & now I'm knackered. Need to get up early in the morning, block back the bumpers before work, then clean the garage after work hopefully followed by collecting the car on tuesday Nothing like a bit of pressure
  17. Cool, I'll look forward to seeing the pictures
  18. Well I like to say it's 95% in the prep but the guy is the God of painters, I've used him for years on all my cars & frequently visit him to view the amazing restorations & repairs he does.
  19. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys (apart from Steve, but we will discuss that over a few Stellas in the Lakes ). believe it or not the pictures don't really do it justice. I'm over the moon with how it's come out. A number of people (in the trade) have said I was perhaps going a little far with the prep, but there was good reason & as many of you know, I don't like to 'just' do things. Had a rest from the 240 this evening & helped Adrian out rebuilding his 370, but will be back to work on the bumpers tomorrow.
  20. Team hubbabubba lol quick update, got the car out the booth & the doors back on Then the remaining panels in, cleaned & degreased Then finished un masking whilst everything was being painted I got to work on some flat polishing, trying to decide on my desired finish
  21. ^^Topic, almost forgot how to spell topic for a moment
