  1. I'd be interested to know how different the jwt TT kit is different to the aps kit, as the aps kit fits nicely on the rhd 350z
  2. Good luck with that, however unfortunately I can't see that working. Why not Alex?
  3. Yes I have a full set of ID 725 cc injectors with clips & pins. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/85406-injector-dynamics-725cc-brand-new-set-of-6-640-delivered/ Sounds like it's going to be an interesting build. where are you based?
  4. Back on topic, I'm hoping to get some work done on the car this weekend 1) replace the right rear wheel bearing as it's whining a little. 2) replace the oil in the dashpots with the correct sae 20w (used PS fluid which has made the throttle response a little to sharp at low revs) 3) sort the wiring out on the radio (no constant supply so it doesn't remember the saved stations) 4) go for a drive
  5. Surley the ONLY way to change the setup would be to get the stage 2 SC housing & make a custom pipe to route around the steering column & a heat shield for the downpipe. You should get a better airflow over the 180' setup you have now but it will still mean regular air filter servicing & you would still need to get under the car to do so.
  6. It won't be 'THAT' colour Stu. I've spent many hours drooling over the Camaro & part of me wishes I went for it when I sold the 370z, but I have my own orange LHD beast now. Driving a LHD in the UK is fine, I switch between both on a daily basis & never have any problems (other than toll booths) Whoever buys this will be one very happy bunny, it's one very special & unique car
  7. Post some up Will. I thought I saw a readymix lorry on my CCTV earlier, I thought I had been busted
  8. I think when it comes to vandalism, a key down the side or a wingmirror being kicked off can be classed as vandalism, but to spell out a profanity I would say you have probably upset someone just a wee bit.
  9. Thanks, it will be going backwards from the 1st of October. Planning to start the strip down then, hopefully have the shell stripped, repaired & ready for painting by Christmas. But in the mean time I need to decide, New iPhone 6 or new Mig welder & engine stand Now that I am looking forward to seeing some pics of !. Shame I'm so bl**dy slow otherwise you could have borrowed the rotisserie. As regards the engine stand, funnily enough I've just bought a new one on E bay for £89.00 that will hold 900kg and folds up. There are cheaper ones but not sure if they would hold the weight of a straight six. Mines a cast iron block with alloy head, what is it in the 240? I'll probably just look at getting a used engine stand & rotisserie, that way I should get my money back once finished with, thanks for the offer. I would imagine the engine is going to be quite a lump to handle, I believe it is also a cast iron block with ali head.
  10. Courier for Adrian Now i didn't know Adrian had become a trader I think the correct term is importer No he is neither, he is an immigrant & I'm not his biatch so he can drop it off himself
  11. Is your front bumper in good condition? free from dents? I might be interested if the price is right, although I am contemplating going for the euro spec bumpers, boot lip & front valence with mine
  12. Oh & where did you get the rear numberplate from & what size is it? Mines way to big & doesn't fit properly
  13. Wow the car looks ace. How comes it has the Z-vents in the rear quarters? are they just stuck on? Or does it have an earlier boot lid? I know the very early 240's had the vents below the windscreen which were later removed & replaced with the ones in the rear quarter in 71' I believe.
  14. Thanks, it will be going backwards from the 1st of October. Planning to start the strip down then, hopefully have the shell stripped, repaired & ready for painting by Christmas. But in the mean time I need to decide, New iPhone 6 or new Mig welder & engine stand
  15. That will be terrifying in the 240 seeing as I know the roads so well.
  16. It was nice to get the car through some corners today, I'm still learning it step by step & being pretty weary as there are a lot of tired bushes & still not sorted the geo other than with my fishing wire. Feels pretty stable through the corners & changing direction. I think a trip to Wales is in need to see what she can really do
  17. A little update, haven't really done much with the car other than drive it took it out last weekend, got 90 miles from home & started to have some ignition issues @ low revs, which turned out to be that one of the points in the distributor had slipped out of position (Thanks papa smurf for coming to the rescue) So this week I managed to source a reconditioned distributer complete with new vacuum advance diaphragm, condenser & a new 1.5ohm lucas coil suitable to run @5v. So the old one was removed \ Then fitted the new one Checked the point gaps & timed the car up to standard spec. Installed the new coil & then went for a drive out to the seaside. What I didn't check was that the point adjusters were secured properly :headhunt: 45 miles into the drive & I found myself with the same ignition problem as last week but a 5min stop & supervision from SMD & we were back up & running. 3 generations of Zeds, & Daves support vehicle for when I broke down (again) although I didn't have enough camera angle to get the Papa's car in
  18. Nice work, loving the use of an old cv boot in the blasting cabinet
  19. Well I'm subscribed to your thread & look forward to you showing me how it's done. As much as I like to support local business I do tend to source a fair bit of stuff from the US,
  20. Yes they are the twin SU's with the 3screw dashpot covers Thanks for the link, so there are actually companies in the UK I can buy parts from Prices are reasonable to. At the moment I'm just getting the car upto scratch, doing the easy bits & learning about all this 'old stuff' trouble is that the more I drive the car the more I enjoy it which is going to be so annoying when I start the re-build. Hows the Jag coming along?
