I would think so as the service schedule says 54k or 5yrs i think. I found mine like that but i had been running 95ron for a month before, changed the plugs and fuel, checked them a month later and they were fine (much darker) something to keep an eye on. You really dont want it running lean, can cause some significant damage in the long run

I think they all do that, what made me mention it is that a couple of the plugs look quite white, which normally indicate it running lean

Nice one mate, theres to many idiots out there who think there hard as nails when there couped up in their cars abusing other road users, They diserve to be knocked down a peg or too. Yeah, looking at the plugs looks as if it maybe running a bit lean, what fuel are you using? I only ask as I had a similar result when I changed my plugs, was worried about it being the spacer I had put in but after discovered that it was due to using 95RON fuel

if your looking at r32 y not look at the 3.2 A3 sline or the S3, alot more classy than a golf imo

Surely its just stainless steel, I doubt very much that its a coating, get yourself some autosol and a bit of elbow grease and a reckon it will polish up nicely
