  1. My import definitely has an 80 litre tank - its got 80 on the gauge and I put 70l in it this morning Surely that isnt an option is it??
  2. The missus thought it was some kind of low flying biplane to start with At least i'll be a biplane with no speeding ticket Ahh, touche

  4. Seriously - I must have had 20/30 cars go past me on that section. Maybe they know something we dont??
  5. That would have been me then - my missus saw your car but I didnt She noticed your car was somewhat modified as well I hadnt actually realised that bit was average speed - people were still overtaking me but shortly after I went past you I slowed right down - I doubt I was doing much more than 60 at any time so hopefully we are in the clear even once Id slowed down there were still cars going past at 70+ - are the cameras definitely working down there then??
  6. Do they seriously sell on for that kind of money when bent?? I paid less that that for my entire, working, 40k old car
  7. Not used them personally, but not heard anything bad either They will get it through an SVA and I know they are competetive on price and get the job done - know of a few S15's that have been through there recently
  8. Dont listen to all these naysayers - a sorted S14(a) is faaar better than any of this BMW/Lotus/AE86 rubbish. Ive had an S14, 2 S13's and 2 S12's and Im a moderator and 15K+ poster on SXOC so I kinda a know a bit about them S14's as standard cars are pretty much grand tourers - they are pretty good for cruising, but are a bit soft and tuned for the more mature driver, if you know what I mean Boost upgrade, FMIC, exhaust, air filter, decent suspension and wheels are all a must and Id add in a good race seat if you are going to track it up. Go for the next stage of a new turbo, chip and some brakes and you are looking at 350bhp, 13 seconds on the quarter and handling that will embarass a 350 as well My advice would be to get one that has these things doen already - there are some beautiful cars on sale at the moment for relatively little money. Check out: Stokesy car - RB25 powers and in gorgeous condition: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=318074 Si Roberts car - although a bit expensive this is generally reckoned by those in the know to be one of the best in the country: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=317910 These two I dont know but are worth a look as well: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=321784 http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=319308 www.driftworks.com is a decent place to have a look as well Any Q's then just ask
  9. Im not sure that it will affect your performance but I have heard that combined with a palomino dashboard and some muffler twins, the chicks will "cream", which sounds pretty good to me

    Brakes????

Cant say how they work on a 350 yet, but Ill be using DS2500's when time comes to change - they are very well thought of on the SXOC board Why are you changing the discs though?? My brakes are excellent as they are .........
  11. Ive been offered some VERY cheap as my importer mate got sent them in error. Tempted to put them on - has anyone seen gains with them or is it another noise mod??
  12. +1 +2 +3 but 400 odd miles a week and the current cost of fuel is killing me

  14. I know it so well. As I say to my mates, turbo Nissans are reliable cars until you start messing with them. They then become "somewhat unpredictable" as regards reliability. A lot of the reason I chose my Z over the other cars I was considering (S15 Silvia, B10 Alpina amongst others) was the simple fact that it was newer and less likely to go wrong. Its been a long time since Ive had a car that I get into knowing that Im going to get to my destination without oily fingers (and oily fingerprints all over the bonnet) I go to Le Mans every year and will take the Z this year - first time Ill be able to participate in the burnouts, rather than just watch and say "If only I had my Nissan here .........."
  15. Indeed. I recently went to a wedding, so was wearing a nice suit, and the prerequisite pink shirt/tie combo. There was a break in proceedings so I nicked the missuses car and me and a mate nipped down the pub for a swift one By the end of the journey I found myself driving with a limp wrist on the door, my voice tone had risen considerably, and I felt this urge to call everyone "ducky". It doesnt get much gayer than two pink shirted men cruising in an MR-S with the top down, really ............ Avoid that reason by having a fine bird on your arm at all times. Shouldnt be too difficult with a Lambo in the garage
  16. Its an imported HU, read here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ ... topic=7882 Wow. Thats rather ...... errrr ....... competent isnt it?? Ive been telling people the best thing about it is that theres plenty of buttons to play with when you are stuck in a traffic jam
  17. I apparently have a Kenwood DPX-9200WMP. Great Cant find ANYTHING about it online, but it does play music and stuff, which is cool

    350Z Number 1

Chassis number Z33-000001 probably was the first one you know The fact its stored in Nissans own storage facility probably backs that up somewhat as well ..........

  20. Its a Kenwood but doesnt seem to have a model code - Ill check teh destructions this evening, but its got MD, CD, MP3, DSP, RC, and probably VD, TSB, RAF and 2CV as well ........... Its pretty good actually although the speakers are a bit weak - we'll soon see to that
  21. Difficult really - having come from 200SX's and haviong driven/drifted a few mates skylines (R32 is the only way IMO ) I think youd probably find the 350 more fun down a country road, due to the smaller size, the squirtability and lack of laaag, but it doesnt have the awesome grip or top end grunt that a GTR does. Mine still feels a bit special to drive but then Ive only had it a couple of weeks My fast 200 has about 310hp and feels faster than the Z, but I like the lack of turbo lag and the way you can pick a tighter line in it. The obvious answer is to go drive it and see what you think, but I reckon youd be happy enough. There are alternatives to Middlehurst and Abbey for servicing these as well
  22. Did I say that?? Dont think so .............
  23. 15 mins and £15 vs 1 hour and £200+ .......... its your choice
  24. After a week of ownership, I was starting to get a little fed up of Terry bleeding Wogan in the morning so decided to do something about it - the HU in my car is very nice so rather than change it I went for a Frquency Expander Contacted www.japaneseautospares.co.uk and ordered a Universal Radio Band Expander for £14.00 + P+P which took a day to arrive and about 15 minutes to fit, although annoyingly my centre console went back in a bit out of true so that something to have a look at next weekend Anyway, worked first time so if you need one they come recommended by me
  25. How do Sure I remember seeing that Skyline at Santa Pod - shock horror I prefer the GTS-T/GTT to the GTRs and that looks like a good un Ive just bought a blue 350 as well, although mine doesnt look quite like that ........... yet
