  1. I have a spare one but it is for a Roadster. I assume they are different on the roadster?
  2. Not eBay - but I found this on Exchange and Mart website.. http://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk/asp/in ... rice=10000 Anyone know this car/owner as my friend is seriously interested at that price! Mobile number is incorrect, emails sent but no reply yet 2007 15k miles, GT pack, warranty for £9k !!!! - smells a bit fishy to me! What you guys think?
  3. Try petrol & matches LMAO Believe it or not - petrol will also get rid of water streaks on windows, and prevents smearing
  4. fizzy mineral water with vinegar works a treat, applied with newspaper and buff with a decent lint free cloth
  5. prefereably in Gun-metal and as cheap as possible
  6. Yes - they did SO here is my endorsement: Kai Performance http://www.kaiperformance.co.uk/ (ignore website - its all being re-written at the moment) Unit 5 Mill Hall Business Estate Aylesford Maidstone Kent ME20 7JZ 01622 718088 Ask for Warren - I will negotiate a club discount when I speak to him tomorrow Dave
  7. The clutch was new from Big Phil and had only done less that 500 miles when the problem occured - my mechanic said it was fine and not related etc ps - I am desperate to endorse these guys on here, because they are the only Jap performance car tuners that I know in Kent - but I wont mention their name until you agree I got a good price for the work done etc
  8. See pic... I posted this ages ago - viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17054 and at the time I had just lost my job, so did nothing about it, until this week (got a new job now!). After speaking to many people about having no pressure on my clutch pedal (the pedal just fell to the floor) everyone agreed it was just a simple clutch bleed required. I attempted this on my own, but bottled it - im slightly claustrophobic and panicked under the car with only a couple of axel stands preventing me getting crushed! So I got the car towed away and was quoted £125 for a clutch bleed, which included slide/tilt recovery truck - so I was delighted! Then came the bad news - my mechanic said that it wasnt a bleed, and infact the clutch fork had snapped and the gear box needed removal to fix (panic!! - this is gonna cost loads more than £125!!!! - and I am skint, havent even started new job yet!) He quoted a minimum of £250 labour + parts. That day I called Nissan and asked them how much a clutch fork would be - I was told about £50 - he asked for my VIN - and was then told because it was an early import, there has never been a clutch fork sold in this country as it was different to UK versions - he checked computer - infact there has never been one sold in Europe, and I would have to get one from Japan!!! - suffice to say, more panic ensued! A day later my mechanic called - they had removed gear box to find it wasnt the clutch fork, it was simply a bolt that had sheered from the ball joint connecting to the fork - they had fixed it and the car was ready to collect! Total cost including slide/tilt recovery was £250 - whilst it was double the price I had expected, and considering the fault was a half inch sheered bolt, I am very pleased with the service I received and price paid. I would like to endorse the people that did this work, but before I do - do you guys think that was a good price for the work done (bare in mind gearbox removal takes ages on a ZED)? Dave ps - Im back and its mod time!!
  9. Please let me know how you get on with the eBay key and programming - and thanks for the post! Dave
  10. also - seller has NO feedback! perhaps he has scammed a few people and made a new ebay account!
  11. Are you saying that you got a UK spec Key to work an imported Jap car ? I would like to know this as well - I only have one key on my 2002 JDM - its such an early model im not even sure if its got an immobiliser (anyone else goto a 2002 jdm that can advise) - however I would like a spare key - but I'm not paying stupid money for it! Are the eBay keys anygood? How much would a reprogram cost if I had another key?
  12. Further to this on a JDM (2002) - I only have a single key for my car and am paranoid about losing it - I have just been reading a post about getting a blank key cut (ebay key) and reprogramming the key fob etc - does this reprogramming simple do the buttons (ie remote unlock etc) or does it also program the new transponder for the immobiliser?
  13. Many thanks again Rob - ur a star! I was told by a fitter that the 'answer call' button on the steering wheel wouldnt work with the Alpine 104bti and adapter, and I would have to press a button on radio to answer - is that right? Sunset - thought you already sold facia - so will bare you in mind if I go down this route! thanks! Dave
  14. I am going for a CDE104BTi as well - looks nice - and thanks Rob for links for Bose Loom/S-W adapter I have the Bose sub (GT pack) - can I assume the adapter works on this? Also can anyone recommend a source for a Fascia? Is installation needed, or can this be easily done DIY? Thanks in advance, Dave
  15. I am bleeding my clutch this weekend - gonna be tricky getting under there with only a trolly jack and axel stands etc - but is the bleeder on the passenger or driver side (as above quotes conflict)? And is it more towards the front of the car or the midddle (only have 2x axel stands - do i use on both front wheels or 1xfront 1xrear on the appropriate side) Many thanks for any help - Dave ps 02 model JDM
  16. Hi guys - just got in after a very long walk after abandining my car in the middle of no-where! (I wish I had AA cover!!) Anyway, at low speeds I changed gear from 3rd to 2nd and the clutchpedal didnt come back out, and the car went into neutral. Managed to pull over and stop (albeit on a nasty bend - someone nearly hit me!) I had a look at the pedal, and could quite easliy pull it back out by hand, and depress it again but it stayed down again. Suffice to say it looks like the linkeage between pedal to clutch has failed. So my question is...does the 350z have a clutch 'cable' or is it some form of hydraulic system?? If its cable is it easy to replace? If its hydaulic, any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

  19. drill a hole in the exhaust - that will make it sound 'meatier' !!! I have just had a hole welded in my exhaust to get it through its MOT, and the car just doesnt sound the same anymore As far as the pop charger, 4k revs same for me - I love it!
  20. I upgraded all my cleaning gear to a swarm of Cosovans! - and a mighty fine job they do as well for a tenner
  21. Thats a bit of a false economy really as you will get better mpg with higher RON fuel, and I believe it out-weighs the cost difference (according to my mechanic anyway)
  22. Spotted a red '54' Willington Street, Maidstone. I flashed and waved (as I always do) and got a funny look back.... it was then it dawned on me that I wasnt in my ZED (which is being MOT'd today) and was in a crappy Calibre! DOH!
