Just got the cover and the strut ends done. Not sure if I should stay with the carbon cover / strut or to go with the black still.... Oh and the new addition is now all plummed in and working... And from fitting that I now know how the 14mm 5zigen catch can fits so I can talk anyone through it if they want to fit one!

Its a Sony Alpha A-800 with a 10-20mm lens so prob not the camera... More so the operator!! If I do go down version 2, then it will look a bit like this... But, after looking at a few cars last weekend at the show with black wheels, you cant really see a difference with the tyre / wheel anyway and they dont all have the "time attack" lip....

If you got that in writting that they will fit then fair doos! As you can return them when they dont fit! Thats not saying that they wont, but the offsets are all wrong for the Zed, you need to be looking for closer to +22.

IMO in the flesh they dont make the wheel look smaller, but am sure others may say different! The red pinstripe may help to break up the big ture look. In motion the wheels look like they are floating and not held onto the car! Took some other pics at the show on saturday so will get them up soon if anyones interested...

+22.... just right for the Zed

As a few of you may have seen my Volks were looking a bit rough from the salt on the roads and the result of taking the car to a "Hand Car wash" a year ago... So they needed a refurb... Decided on something away from the norm and went for the "Phantom" look. Havnt decided to do the lip yet or to paint the calipers in red so there could be a version 2. Gloss powdercoated for a decent amount of protection and then finnished with a matt overcoat... Should be easy to take care of now! From the reaction so far they seem to be a bit marmite, but am well happy with the results. Wicked Wheels in Crawley have done a great job, very impressed with them, their setup and the price charged. They also mananged to sort me out with a deal on a new set of rear falkens too as my rears were shot! Anyway, a quick "teaser" pic. More to follow am sure!

It was Wilsons that said no, I'm not their biggest fan but as they are my most local and the fact it was only a P1 I thought I would give them a try. Ho hum.... nothing changes! what site? They prob arnt based in the UK so they get around the law.... Did they give you the "carbon" option and the choice of a logo on the plate? If so, they are not strictly "legal". At the present time, there should be nothing else apart from a GB or Euro flag (if you want it) and then the plate.... If it gives you the option to put a logo or slogan on the bottom, then there not strictly "legal". Dealers arnt even able to put logos or phone details on them now... The only other thing on them should be very small letters with the plate makers "code" and some type of serial number....

Which dealer? I belive Ancasters in Croydon will let you supply oil as would Wilsons in Epsom, but I dont like them that much to recommend them!! Nothing wrong with servicing, I just had an issue just after I bought the car with the window motor!

Just to set things straight and thanks for your response Chris, but I didnt mean anythign specific about "this" or "that" forum, I was meaning Zed owners in general. I know it probably sounds petty making a response like this and but I think most people know where I stand about the "this" and "that" and your response seemed to imply that I stated "this" forum. Just wanted to say a big thanks to Andy (Kudos) and Dan (dcash) for being an all round good guys. Went to pick up the car and I had an ECU problem.... Called Dan (who was on the train on the way home) and then Andy, for info on the reset and tried to do it over the phone. Couldnt get it right, so Andy went out of his way to come to meet me and give me a hand...... Cheers buddy, just pi55es me off that a good guy like Andy is getting pi55ed around by other people in his life.... Add that to the list of favors IOU!.... Just goes to show what great guys Zed owners are Mark
