Pastrana will try his hand at anything, moto X, Bmx riding, Rally. He also beat the late Colin McRae at the X-games rally.....due to the fact the McRae flipped his car at the last jump(not like him ) But aye he's definately lost it! My dad has a Q7 and its been perfect in this weather, never got stuck once unlike my GTR i was the laughing stock of the street getting stuck in it lol, its 4 wheel drive yeah but rear biased when pulling away, i does have snow mode but that only works if the car is moving i think all it does it lower the revs on pulling away and gear changes tbh! thanks for all the input guys, still not decided what to go for yet . all valid points, but your forgetting not everyone would be able to afford 12 months of extra lessons, the cost of skid pan training, advanced motoring courses, would your government be paying for this? i would doubt it. Also on point 6, would you not be able to sit a driving test if there was no snow that year? i know your points were made in a joke and the skill of many of our drivers is very poor, however any extra manditory tests/lessons would punish those who are competent enough to drive, the best way is to make tests more strict on pass marks! As you all know the weather is getting quite bad now! Im startin to consider putting the GTR away untill maybe Feb/March as i dont fancy a hefty repair bill but what to get for those winter months? I was thinking either a Range Rover Sport or Mercedes GL or an ML. However, Im open to suggestions Any ideas would be really appreciated. Cheers guys Paul

Fair play to you mate . did you take a big loss when you sold the aston? . P.s On the Maintainence for the GTR part, only downside for me was having to replace the windscreen after the hoon . that was £1200, but once the car becomes more common and glass is not special order than id imagine that will come down alot. I got her serviced just before the hoon and im sure it was less than £200, i was over the moon , I expected to be hit with a major bill and was totally when he told me, thought they had made a mistake and left out a 0 at the end or something . good luck with your new car when it comes mate .
