the tyre sizes are fine mate, not sure about a refurb for the split rims sorry, might give people an idea who to recommend if you say where abouts you are tyres .....ooh loads of threads and opinions on those, iirc people like the falkens, michelin pilot sports and toyo tr1 i've got p zero's and they seem fine Paul

the k2/k3 are good bikes, no real problems, the k1 750's had some dodgy gearboxes, i've rode a few and it feels as though the chain slips (even though it doesnt) this was rectified on the later k2/k3 models, the k4 was a smaller bike and a model change i've rode a few dukes which handle like they are on rails but i dont like the v twin power delivery, much prefer the scream of an in line four, i prefer the 750 to the thou as its more rewarding to ride and there isnt much in the power difference in the real world, i went from 20mph to 140mph on a k3 gsxr750 with a power commander and an end can with a k5 1000 with a racefit can and i can honestly say there next to nothing in it, it suprised me i thought the k5 would disappear just the usual stuff to look out for, chain, sprockets, and listen for cam chain rattle, the tensioner can sometime go but its very rare overall - service em and ride em

that would save some wear and tear on the front tyre did you watch the escort prog on men and motors kev ? it was class, love old school fords - mk1 rs2000 mk2 rs1800 bda flat front it was funny to see roger clark in a mk1 rallying with no roll cage and wearing a shirt and tie !! intergrale, stratos proper rallying

was it on standard rims ? wider rims - bigger tyres - bigger contact patch so the steering can be slightly heavier was it heavier one way more than the other ? the steering isnt light on the zed though, did you check the tyre wear oh and ........welcome aboard

i've read the plenum is the only thing that makes any difference, it gives extra low down/mid range torque iirc £185 for a 5/16 th and not worth going for the larger spacer - seen in the states they fit 1/2" but have been told the strut bar wont fit and you cant feel the difference

pardon I can see the mistake you are making --- you're supposed to drive at no more than 10mph and then it works fine Exactly. It lets you have great conversations .... when standing still at a red light .... and even then the pedestrians waiting to cross can hear every word the person on the other end of the line is saying ... And at 80mph it is completely unusable .. but no ones goes over 70mph the national speed limit

not sure about this - it works on ferrari's and the gt40 though
