  1. much better than the dixons, currys, pcworld deals stuey
  2. there isnt any adjustment on the clutch, it is hydraulic so if it feels spongy then the fluid may need bleeding, the bite has quite high on the zeds that i have driven tbh
  3. the big green dude in the 2nd pic - was he the inspiration for your car colour paul ?
  4. Gibberish how would you know yours sounds ok, there have been a few reports i've read of zed clutches failing earlier than they should although it is only a few i'm suprised you dont know the basics liam, i bet you think suck, bang, blow is a porn site Mate, I buy cars drive them, come on here and thats it . I don't know **** all about cars and how to fix them. Thats why i always bought a car in warranty so I can just chuck the keys at the sales guy and say ''its broke, fix it'' thats sometimes i hate knowing as you know what every little noise is
  5. i'm not sure if that would affect your insurance as it probably would'nt have an air bag ? i'm sure you could get the wheel done but i imagine its pricey - labour intensive damn ! got in before me what colour are you thinking of paul ?
  6. you can ask whatever price you want - doesnt mean you'll get it Of course but in his mind he must think he can get that.............. deluded " T3XT J " (£3500 extra) the pics he has have got two different sets of wheels on !

  9. looks like its painted with matt hammerite i suppose it isnt made to look good just be aerodynamically efficient
  10. cable is easier, the hydraulic can sometimes get air in it or moisture as its hygroscopic and then goes spongy which means bleeding it from the slave cylinder a worn clutch just feels like your riding the pedal really, its just two plates slipping, friction and pressure sometimes they do just collapse, either the fingers on the pressure plate give way or the friction plate disintergrates (usually from too many drag style starts) the moto gp bike clutches are made to do one start as they need to save weight
  11. ahh the only problem is i'm not sure if you would incur a penalty by defaulting on a contract by returning the car early ? having never leased i'm not familiar with t&c's involved to get an immediate sale on a zed would normally mean taking a big hit on the price if he was to p/ex his zed and lease for the difference say for instance 9k then it would be peanuts but that doesnt seem to make sense for nissan to do that ? it cant work that way, with the capital from the p/ex he would only be leasing a % of the car, maybe they agree buy it off you at a p/ex price give you that cash and then you lease a car ?? releasing the capital to invest ? but why not just sell it and lease ? i dont know
  12. sounds fine, the notchyness is probably just due to the gear oil being cold and thick, "lomoto said that the car will rev high but go nowhere" is really only true if the clutch is totally given up, usually there will be an increase in revs without an increase in car speed - which is the clutch slipping - in say 5th or 6th you put your foot down and the revs increase but the car doesnt, thats usually a good indication of a worn clutch if you imagine your engine revs spinning a plate and the gearbox needs to connect to that to transfer the drive to the wheels - that connection is the clutch
  13. Yep but for some reason my clutch feels a little funny now................. is it hydraulic or cable ? probably hydraulic i would guess, funny ? it what way ? judder ? slipping ? different biting point ?
  14. Maybe, but I'm yet to see a full set of circumstances were it was a better propositon. Most benefits of leasing usually are, no capital outlay, sometimes maintainence is thrown in, and you get a new car at the end of the agreement, no car to sell at the end etc. Its still dead money imo, and I'm sure there are better propositions out there especially from a business point of view....... agreed mate, its like renting - why would you if you can buy and invest but sometimes the capital can be put to better use or the capital isnt available at that time
  15. a lot of people i know lease now, it makes sense if your circumstances suit and like digsy they have put the capital to better use
  16. probably "copy'n'paste" questions - reel em in ! liam you ought to be ashamed tut tut
  17. Ta for linky's will investigate them later Actually found some spacer rings on UK Ebay for £3.00 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MDF-Speaker-Adapt ... dZViewItem I know of a few people who have bought them because it would actually be more expensive to make them yourself lol Neil good find mate , you will need two sets better than messing about order early - Item location: GZ, China
  18. handy site - http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/ with the front speakers you have 3 choices :- 1, buy some spacers made of mdf (only seen these for sale in the usa - ebay) 2, make your own spacers 3, using the existing speaker spacer which is part of the oem speaker, this does involve destroying the bose speaker (no great loss) another good guide - http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Tutorial ... stallation

  20. does it do it at standstill if you rev ? does it increase in speed as the car does ? a jingly sound ? hmm sounds a bit like an exhaust bracket/clamp has broken and is sliding on the pipe (hollow jingly)
  21. so now we play the waiting game ..............
  22. Was a ford focus 1.6 lol fully modded but needed an upgrade and thought what better than a 350z lol hangonamo you said "I used to have a 1.4 focus " are you lieing about the size of it ?
  23. I know I know. I bid £18,111 for it. Was hoping to get an ultra bargain.......the hunt continues...... i think jay might be selling his soon since he posted those pics of his car and some of the big lads picked on him he has disappeared bargain
  24. +1 - mine has always been high and I like em like that as it makes for faster gear changes So long as its not slipping, I cant see it being a problem. Can someone explain to me in laymans terms what happens when a clutch slips? How can you tell? the engine revs like a bastard ,and you go nowhere (in layman terms )
