hmm... sounds more like the speaker to me, either poor connection or a knackered coil on the speaker, usually the bose problem stops the speaker working, i would swop the speakers over to test it, you can get to the rear speakers without tools, just by removing the plastic panels http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/rear_speakers/ but the bose can do weird stuff, cheapest option first though

maybe for the best andy, i dont think i would want it back if it was mine, its an event i would rather forget and move on
