  1. I'm pretty certain with the ESR/bigphil sitaution (closing down) that this will not be happening now mate

  7. the most important thing at this point is the oil level is corrrect mate the car will always show higher pressure when cold as the oils thicker

It is linked to a 'sender' which is what actually measures the pressure. I don't know exactly what form the sender has on the Z but it will most likely be a spring-loaded diaphragm. On start-up until the car is warm the pressure will read between half-way and three-quarters on the gauge, I forget what this equates to exactly but I think between 60 and 90psi. When warm the gauge normally reads at the first, quarter-mark which is about 30psi IIRC. The Nissan test for low oil pressure defines the threshold below which to be concerned as 14psi again IIRC.
  9. what oil was it ? you can take the sump plug out and hold it in the hole to reduce the flow to drain some off but it should not be a problem if the level is between the markers and no it will show a higher level when cold than after allowing it to stand for 10 mins because it wont have had time to drain to the sump you are def reading the dipstick right ?
  10. Stop engine and wait for 10 minutes. Check the engine oil level. must be on level ground what oil filter did you use ? too much oil is as bad as too little but it should be ok anywhere between the markers on the dipstick, iirc 4.4 litres is a oil and filter change maybe the problem is the guage and not the oil level what do you mean by tops out ? the needle going all the way too the right what oil did you use ?

  12. how do you get that stuff costing a grand ? stone chips aside as all zeds have those, its really just disc and pads, CS on here does both, the ebc pads are £109 and i cant remember the price of the discs these are wear and tear items that you could need on a zed costing 12k or more the cat either needs the heatshield repairing or take it off

    Cayan S perhaps, but I took a Cayman around Thruxton and wasnt massively impressed with it. Sure it feels about as good as the Zed (and probably quicker), but it just seemed to lack something. If I was paying that much more over a Zed (in price and servicing), I'd want more. Saying that the interior is much nicer than the Zed. I'm holding out on the 370z Oh yes ........ the S but i thought that went without saying

    hated the cayman to start with, it looked like a mongrel 911 but i really like the red cayman now, needs new rims and lowering to make it more aggressive and the prices have dropped nicely

    No, 911 Turbo. Nice choice, not the best time of year to be learning how to keep an Beetle on steroids on the road though!! oh yeah i love them, borrowed a 997 c4s for a week and my bro has a c2s, brilliant usable cars

  19. running ebc with no complaints, better than oem, you pays your money and make your choice dont forget to copper grease the rear of the pads
  20. the wash mitt and two buckets wont make it better but will stop it getting worse, use a different mitt for the wheels
