  1. thanks for the feedback thus received so far, must admit when I saw the figure of £900 for a new screen i had a glazed expression for awhile but have since been in touch with my insurance and it's all covered except for the £60 excess, and they do deal with Autoglass who are coming round this Thursday night to do it, I wanted a new screen anyway as there was a chip in it right in 'eyesight level'! Cheers Mick
  2. got my screen cracked yesterday was following a lorry, still question is anyone had one changed and who did they use, I was going to get Autoglass in, but not ever had a screen go before wondered if there were any suggestions. TIA Mick
  3. As in title, about 3:30\4:00 pm (ish) you were heading towards Dover, me towards Deal I was in the black one, got a cracked screen just afterwards!
  4. In the right section now it's a Bank Holiday weekend and the weather don't look bad, the Zed has been fuelled, cleaned, polished and waiting to go tomorrow night, i'm off down to Kent (got a static in Pegwell Bay) for a rest and a few beers, it's a mates 50th and we have a party in the local, if I see any other Zeds on the way down I promise to wave\flash\hoot have a good 'un! Cheers Mick
  5. If you look at that bulletin link I posted they only give a time of 1.1 hrs to do both sides, when I took mine in they phoned by 11:00am to say that it was done and the car was ready for picking up, I can't believe it would cost that much to do (£800)
  6. I had mine done a few weeks ago, but that was under warranty, it don't look to be much of a job if you are handy with the spanners, drop the offending shaft off, grease the face up, turn it 180 degrees and refit and that seems to be the fix, have a look at this bulletin: http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/Bul ... 04-065.htm Cheers mick
  7. Up to now I have had only one warranty claim, which was dealt with no problems although it would appear I will taking them on with the 'blistering' wheel problem soon, as I have noticed it is just starting. I have to say that i'm not that impressed with how the service department come over and they leave a lot to be desired, coming from BMW's, who, I have to say have been very good when it comes to warranty claims in my experience.
  8. Liverpool & Victoria £326 protected NCB, legal, unlimited travel abroad etc etc, me and wife to drive, it is limited mileage though at 8k and it's a 55 plate, but I am over 50.

  13. Just given the Zed a thorough clean and polish ready for next weeks holiday and I have just noticed that the wheel balance weights are steel, something that on the 50+ cars I have owned I have never seen, is this a Nissan thing or is it something to do with the Rays wheels I have, can someone throw some light on it............ oh! and how do I know they are steel, they had gone rusty
  14. Thanks for that Jacko, I did look under the bonnet and saw the bolt you refer to and as you say it looks possible to fiddle round with it from there. Cheers Mick

  16. Was going to change the front sidelight bulbs for something a little better and have just looked up in my 350z manual what is involved, have I read it right that you have to remove the wheelarch liners to access the back of the headlights or is there an easier way?
