  1. ...the iRack! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-KWYYIY4jQ
  2. Yeah, close to highsiding...too heavy on the front brake It's quite funny just after he spins the car around - (roughly translated) "Did I scare you, lady?"..."no, just the suspension is a bit stiff!"
  3. Hmm, I don't think that a specific time needs to mentioned when talking about the Blackwall Tunnel?
  4. Is it wrong that I found that soooo funny? But yeah, it perplexes me at how she even managed to that...from a standstill...travelling a few metres...
  5. I believe that there is a European law thing in action, but the UK doesn't abide by it, and rightly so. Basically, it actually makes working more than, say, 45 hours per week illegal...I'd personally rather have the choice.
  6. The UK/European price is a joke IMO. In Hong Kong, the official price is about HKD$3500, which equates to around £200-250 in real money...and that's for the 60Gb pack. I was tempted to buy one to sell on - undercutting the official UK price, not trying to take the pi$$ like others that I have seen.
  7. Probably not enough. I'm at work from 9-5.30...usually leave a few minutes later...but I'd happily not go home if I was paid overtime...
  8. I thought that it was early morning too...but then it seemed to get darker towards the end?
  9. Yeah, I'm a fan of the E46 style too. I saw an M3 for a similar price to the Z33 that I'm interested in, but insurance is in another league! (i.e. three times more...but still got a quote, which was nice!).
  10. Nice. I was in HK a few weeks ago for Chinese New Year...and even though I swore that I hated the place back in 1998 (the last time I was there), I have to admit that there's a certain "something" that makes me want to back there again soon, and even transfer my life over there (for a while, anyway). I had the intention of picking up some bits for the FTO whilst I was there, but HK people aren't the most organised or friendly bunch (it's ok, I'm Chinese, and my parents are from HK ), so nothing really happened in the end. If you want cost-effective business class flights to HK: http://www.oasishongkong.com/gb/en/prom ... d=20070305 Buy-one-get-one-free...which equates to about £750 a ticket (return flight, and the "free" ticket can be used at another date, and/or for another person!). Bargain...although I'm personally happy paying £300 and blagging the emergency exit seat...
  11. Will devices like the road angel work properly in the cubby hole? I always thought that they'd need some "daylight"?
  12. Nah, undersealing should be an essential job with imported cars (unless you have the luxury of using the car as a toy). At least with the FTOs, one of the key questions to ask when buying one is "has it been undersealed? if so, how long ago?". So the fact that it's been undersealed is actually a postive point to put on the sales ad. I'd expect to pay £50-90 for a proper job, although I have been quoted £120 etc before, so it all depends on who you go to. I imagine that the cheaper places will just use an oil/wax mix and slap it on...whereas I'd hope that the more expensive places will use some "proper" undersealing product. With that said, they're both fine for doing the job.
  13. Thanks for the welcomes guys. I've got my eye on one, but it's not "perfect"...i.e. it's silver, and I'd prefer Blue/Black/Gunmetal (the grey version of gunmetal )...but the spec is pretty good. I'll see if I can get a test drive on it at some point.
  14. To be honest with you mate, it's the mileage that puts me off. Personally, because I expect to put a far few miles on it myself, so it's just a bit of a psychological block that after a year, it might be approaching 70k miles... But your car does look amazing mate - I first saw it on Ebay, and it just looks "right"...just a shame about the figures on the odo (and also that I don't have the cash yet...) Good luck with the sale mate.
  15. Ello, I'm not an owner of a Zed yet (and there is every chance that I won't be...), but if all goes well, then I could be going shopping for one soon. I'm currently driving a Mitsubishi FTO (GPX), which I've spent far too much on in my brief ownership, and I can only see it costing me more...and not necessarily out of choice! (i.e. I had a popped engine, and had to replace the entire exhaust system so far...and I've gotta sort out the brakes soon mefinks). It seems weird to imagine a car less practical than the FTO, but I'm still young(ish), and don't need conveniences and space luxuries just yet. Anyhoo, that's my life story! And "Hi". Tin
  16. Weird - where do you live? For laff (kinda, as I wasn't expecting to get an online quote, but using it as a way of weighing up the feasibility of getting a "Zed"), I decided to give it a go. Basically, through Elephant/Admiral, I'm getting a quote of £890 FC, with £250 XS. Oh, and I'm 26, 1 yr NCD, and an SP30 (without the SP30, it was £663!). And this is a proper quote. Just to compare - I was offered a renewal quote of over a grand on my 12 year old, tiptronic FTO, so I decided to settle for TPFT instead (especially with a possible "upgrade" looming . )
