  1. Indeed...although I'm kinda glad that Tevez didn't play, as it meant that Chopra was automatically substituted for me. Second in the league, not too shabby.
  2. From what I've heard from people who done MBAs (so the following blurb is just my interpretation of their opinions!), it's an opportunity to expand/reaffirm both your knowledge and also your "network" - it's an ideal time to "find" potential business partners etc...if you're looking to start a business, then "any" institution will probably do...but if you're expecting the MBA to open up job opportunities, then apparently only a top University logo stamped on your certificate will do (so I've heard!). Good luck!
  3. Yeah, 'twas me I'm afraid...also added Chris whilst I was there...I told you that I was whoring
  4. As opposed to the butchness of being part of an "enthusiast" forum. I've recently been whoring on Facebook...though mainly sifting through old school friends...getting a bit bored of it now TBH...but there you go
  5. Nothing new to add I'm afraid, but I agree with the general concensus about the "clean break" - and especially so when things seem to be fairly civil between you two... The moments of despair will come and go, but you will probably appreciate what have had, what you currently have, and what's on the horizon. So chin up.
  6. You can get a trial version of Dreamweaver CS3 from the Adobe site, but I dunno what it's limitations are. I'm sure that it's widely available on the P2P channels, but I rarely take the risk with software. I normally just stick with notepad - although Firefox has some pretty cool add-on toys for web development, which is free, but will probably require some technical confidence in order to appreciate. Well that was helpful wasn't it! (Sorry)
  7. I love the wheels. The lady in the 6th pic down doesn't seem to like 'em much though.
  8. Looks like a scam IMO...but ignoring that for a bit...how the hell is insurance supposed to be cheap for that thing!?
  9. Yeah, gun crime is sooo common these days...
  10. Ok ok, so it wasn't actually Calcot, and it wasn't 70 miles door to door... Moving on...
  11. Not at 3am in the morning, and not on a Honda Fireblade...
  12. Biggest number that I didn't see on my CBR speedo was 169mph...but it was downgeared, so in reality, it was only 70mph (not x2-ish). I also haven't managed to get from Reading to Bristol in 30 minutes...
  13. It's not the pimping that makes you tired...it's when you need to pay the pimp... Err...so I'm told...
  14. Cheers for the advice. The piano was "only" worth £1000, so I doubt I'd be involving solicitors (although a mate of mine recently qualified in some area of law, so might try getting something out of him ).
  15. Weren't a couple of bikers thrown in jail for 12 months because they caught doing 145mph? I'm sure the clever "justice" people will find some harmless murderer/paedophile/terrorist to release early in order to open up a spot in the slammer for this vicious convicted motorist... Not condoning speeding at all, but if you're gonna do it in such a way, at least find a place where you won't get caught...
  16. No, the Chinese guys will be wearing the tracksuits in the shipping container... /unhelpfullness
  17. I don't think that he's a registered company, so his details won't be there... Not really looking to make any threats or inflict any harm (officer ), but just want him to know that I'm serious about getting my money back...and was just wondering if you guys knew if I had a legal leg to stand on...? Cheers, Tin
  18. Is his shop still there? You could "allegedly" tell him that if he doesn't get the money back to you then you'll "allegedly" burn down said shop, or "allegedly" break his legs? Not sure, but I did a WHOIS on his website, and got a residential address...but directory enquiries (the online one anyway) doesn't have his number. Not looking into the terrorising/bullying route (he's a blind old man), but I just want him to know that I'm serious. Cheers, Tin
  19. Yeah, I really should have put "allegedly" gone bankrupt, because I have no facts about it...and his website is still up and running etc... I'm gonna try to sneak away from my desk in a moment to call him. I just feel like such a lemon for not asking for at least some kind of receipt or proof that he took it away... Cheers, Tin
  20. Short version: I bought a piano from a local shop a couple of years ago, and he seemed a nice chap, and everything was good. Then we moved, and decided to sell the piano, so I contacted this guy to see if he had anyone interested, or wanted to buy the piano back. I was trusting (read: STUPID) enough to watch him take the piano away, and leave it with him to sell. As time went by, I called him to check up on the status etc, and eventually he said that someone was interested, and a sale was being done etc... This dragged on for ages, with excuses that the buyer left a deposit, but kept delaying with picking it up (and thus the final payment), and then it finally sold. Woo hoo. Or so I thought. It then took lots of chasing to see where my money was...and then the piano guy mentioned that his business was closing down, and he would do his best to scrape the money etc. Of course, it became near-impossible to contact him at this point, and he was never at his shop. He would occasionally leave messages to keep things dragging on, but always leave me hanging. Now, it's been a fair few months since I last tried to contact him, but now the money would be useful. I was never well-off enough forget about the money before, but I had enough other crap to contend with, that I just didn't have the energy to stress over this. I have tried to contact the CAB, but since they're run by volunteers (who I'm sure do a great job), it's been very difficult to really get anything out of them. Any suggestions/advice? Cheers, Tin
  21. I think the link might be: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/photosales/c ... .0.php?s=y But that shows a "Diesel"...
  22. It's definately all going down the pan...and it's the b@stards sitting on their comfy chairs that's preventing anyone from doing anything about it...and they continue to make things worse. I was once involved in a bit of a "scuffle" with about 20 local youths. My beef was with one in particular, who constantly caused trouble outside of the family business, so one day, I went out and confronted him. In doing so, I ended up pinning him to the ground, whilst the rest of the mob kicked and punched me. Eventually, I had enough, so I got up, and funnily enough, they are stopped and backed away. A few moments later, the plod arrived, but remained in their cars and vans. So there was me, covered in blood and bruises, talking to the police through their window...whilst nothing was being done, and nothing was subsiquently done. But I'm adamant that if I didn't restrain myself, I'd probably have a multitude of charges against me already. Most annoying thing was that I had to get myself patched up the following day, and there is no doubt that people looked at me as "scum", because I was "involved" in a fight. So...anyone want to sign up for my Vigilante Club? Membership is free, but you'll need your own sock and door knobs...
  23. £5-6k for a Sports 600 will be getting into "new" territory, and as someone who has purchased a new bike before, I'd advised otherwise, especially if you want to watch the pennies...Also, you'll need to budget for a decent lid, leathers, boots etc...
  24. Do have a price for the M/C course + test? And do you have a budget for the bike? You can get a fairly modern and decent crotch rocket for around £3k, or a nekkid bike for under £3k. Ultimately, how much do you need for the house? I would be tempted by the "sensible car" and bike option...not so much a "banger" (although you're probably just using the term loosely), as it's gotta be reliable and safe enough to get you through the @*!# weather.
  25. http://break.com/index/japanese-tetris.html I thought it was funny anyway...
