Cheers - I have seen plenty of threads on this, but can't work out why all the manuals say to get the one connector model for a standard Z! Almost had an argument with the chap on the phone!

I am heading off shortly to buy the adapter to put my Alpine HU into my 54 standard spec Z. According to the web and the chap in the store I need the PC2-72-4 However some people on the forum have used the PC2-76-4 model which is for the Micra From memory, my stereo has three plugs (assuming the third is for the car kit and steering wheel controls?) so I should need the Micra one as I need the two plug model. Any ideas why all the books state the 350Z as being a single plug?

Could be tempted, not sure what I am doing car wise at the mo. Might have to get rid of the Zed to fund something more practical that the missus can drive too (she is too scared to drive the Z!)

Just received my iDA-X001 and it doesn't have an aux. in There is probably some sort of adapter that I can get to plug into the multi changer port, not looked yet, was hoping it would have either RCA inputs or a jack plug aux in

I decided to order the Alpine KCE-3000BT to go with the IDA-X001 head unit that I have ordered. This way I can install these this w/e and not lose the bluetooth connection which I need. If (and when;)) I go the carputer route then I'll have a play around, but probably keep the phone through the HU as I only call while I am driving, i don't think I'll bother too much about texts.

Are you using your Car Puter as a blue tooth hands free kit for your phone too? Just wondering about that as my new head unit won't let me use the built in kit that I have in the car Was going to buy a parrot and wire that in to my new head unit, but not so sure now as I am speccing up a Car Puter.

We were lucky last year, only saw the police once - albeit as we were doing 115 urm "kph"! A short heart attack later and some heavy braking, we cruised past them and got a finger pointed at us. A couple of miles of looking in the rear view mirror, waiting to see a police bike and nothing. We were very lucky! Although was speaking to the driver of a Vanquish S, who was clocked at 172, got a 70 Euro fine! It is loud well before you reach the speed limit!

Love the noise round town, but think it may get a little much on the run to Le Mans this year!

How big is a roll? How many sq ft did you use?

Guys Considering adding some "dynamat" type material to my car, as the exhaust is very loud inside (Nismo), which I like - just not all the time! As I am also replacing all the speakers etc. then it makes sense to do it at the same time! Anyone done their boot / doors etc., can you give me an indication of the sq. ft needed for each area? Also, is it worth the few extra quid for dynamat or are there any other decent brands / suppliers that people would recommend? Thanks

I'm in no rush at the mo, thinking of waiting till the next model of something like this lilliput comes out with a faster processor in it. I am now not off to Hong Kong till August, so am sure there will be something better by then!

I am not adverse to buildin my own PC, have built many a PC in my day, but am getting lazy and having a nice neat one made up for me seems like a good idea! £300 (if i pick it up in HK) seems reasonable enough as I have an unused XP license at home anyway! Which lilliput screen should I be looking for, to get the best fit into a sat nav cubby?
