  1. Okay no problem. I rectified the problem today anyway. It turns out the APR is 16% but the credit company send out their generic paperwork with the 37% APR printed on it. Apparently Adrian Flux have a deal with them at this special rate. So the problem was with the credit company not Adrian Flux.
  2. Yeah it's a JDM. I've just valeted the inside but keep having to run inside due to the weather. Only need to wash it now but it's getting dark here so I might leave it until tommorow. I'll get pics up soon hopefully.
  3. I really need to get a 4 door car as I'm fed up borrowing other cars to collect my children. How much do you think I should ask for it? It's a 2003 coupe with 27,000 miles in gunmetal. It has 20" Ascari Penta alloys and an AEM cold air induction kit. The seats are fabric. I also have the original 17" alloys that came with it. I've realised the price of cars has slumped recently but a garage near me offered me £8,500 for a trade in which I thought was ridiculous. I'll be sorry to sell it as I've been holding on to it for a while when I really should have sold it but now it's got to go. Oh and I'll be ready for people giving me estimates and then offering to buy it
  4. Responding to a couple of reply's above. I only received my credit agreement the other day so it was out with my cooling off period however I would think in this circumstance it would not apply as I specifically asked the guy what the APR rate was.
  5. Has anyone had any problems with Adrian Flux insurance? I took out a policy at the beginning of this month and decided to pay by monthly instalments. I specifically asked the guy what the APR rate was, he replied 16%. I've just received my credit agreement from Premium Credit Ltd which it states the APR is a whopping 37%! I had other problems last week where they forgot to add my allow wheels to the policy and an incorrect figure for the value of the car. I'm beginning to get suspicious now.
  6. Anyone know what's wrong with the wikipedia guide pages? Most photo's aren't dispalying and some text is highlighted in red!!!
  7. The laquer on my alloys are quite badly chipped again. They are quite a wide dish and this is the second time in a year they are needing re-laquered. The water gets in these chips and discolours the wheels with brown blotches. A mate at work reckons I'm better stripping off the laquer and leaving them bare but ensure I clean them on a regular basis with very fine wet and dry. He reckons I can strip the laquer of myself using nitromors!!!! If I did strip the laquer off what would be the disadvantages and is it safe to do it myself with nitromors? If not can anyone recommend someone decent in central Scotland?
  8. Cup holder and rear drivers speaker wanted.
  9. There was an interesting article in the Scottish Daily Record newspaper a few weeks ago that my dad showed me. It said the 350z was the 7th most unpopular car for trade ins. I'd have to agree with the previous poster to ride the storm. The prices will settle down (I hope)
  10. Ok thanks but do all these cars have the bose system? I wasn't aware I had it. Where can I get it repaired at discount, bearing in mind I live in Scotland? How much will it cost approximately?
  11. I was driving the other day listening to music when all of a sudden all I could hear was extreme static through the radio. It was so bad I had to switch off the stereo. Later on someone suggested that I move the speaker balance to either left or right and see if this resolves the problem. It seemed to resolve the problem when I moved the balance to the left (nearside). It appears to be a problem with the rear speaker behind the drivers seat. Can this be repaired or do I have to buy a new speaker? If so how much am I looking at?
  12. Ok thanks guys. What's the best grade of oil to use? The Nissam garage told me 0-30w fully synthetic but anything they tell me I take with a pinch of salt.
  13. I'm a bit skint just now so I'm thinking about doing my own servicing. I have a reasonable level of mechanics and have plenty of tools. Can anyone point me in the right direction of links to guides for this? Also links for everything I need i.e plugs etc and the best place to get them? Thanks in advance for any replies. Ps my cars done 25,000 miles.
  14. I have a Gunmetal JDM. Whats my paintcode? The list that someone on here posted said the code for a UK gunmetal is VW2. Is it the same for a gunmetal JDM?

    How much?

Thanks guys. God that zed on auto trader is very cheap! Although mine would be more appealing with the alloys, less mileage and it's a manual rather than the crappy tip tronic. I'll advertise on pistonheads as you say and I'll just wait for the right price. Do any of you have a rough idea how much i should ask?

    How much?

I'm fed up being hammered for fuel, tax etc. It's just no fun any more. I have two cars, my zed and an old diesel van. I'm going to sell both and buy a sensible car which will be either a Skoda Octavia diesel or a Prius. My Zed doesn't have leather seats. The only non standard fitments are the alloys, a cold air induction kit and brand new EBC discs and pads. How much?

    How much?

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the proper place so move me please if not. I'm seriously thinking about selling my zed and I was wondering how much I should ask for it? It's a 2003 JDM in gunmetal with brand new Ascari Penta alloy wheels with Pirrelli P600 tyres. It's done 25,000 miles. It's in immaculate condition. I'm looking for a rough idea how much i should ask for it? Thanks for any replies.
  18. I spoke to Phil today but briefly as I was at work. Phil asked me if when the car is jacked up can I spin the wheel? I'm not sure if I can or not and I won't get the chance probably until Monday now as I'm away for the weekend. What I want to know is that in order to spin the rear wheels will I have to have both rear wheels off the ground or just the one? The reason I'm asking is that I know it's a rear wheel drive so I don't know if this affects it. I tried spinning the rear nearside with the wheel off but it wouldn't budge I'm just wondering if I need to spin it with the wheel on to get more leverage as it were. Thanks for your help Phil, I'll call you probably Monday.
  19. Just got your message Phil. I'll call you tomorrow. Cheers
  20. Yes I slackened it off when fitting them but tightenmed it back up as per the instructions.
  21. Well I still seem to have a rubbing/grinding noise from my rear nearside tyre. I've taken the wheel back off and had a look but everything seems okay. It also drives fine except for this noise. The noise is not constant and only seems to come on when I brake and for some minutes after. I've only driven on them for about 40-50 miles so should I just tolerate it and hope it will go away or should I get it checked out> It's times like this when I wish I just went to BigPhil. You live and learn eh? Another thing. When I got the discs the boxes stated left and right. I assume is the nearside etc? I'm just hoping I haven't put them on the wrong sides.
  22. Digsy I bought a cream leather sofa from DFS in 2001. They are of poor quality in my opinion and it won't last as long as a better quality one so it's a false economy really. However it's ideal for someone who can't afford a beter one at that moment so it serves it's purpose really.
  23. There's a screw at the bottom left that has to be undone i.e where the passenger would have their left foot. You also have to open up the holder and there is a bolt inside holding it to the dash. Obviously if it won't open then you have to force it. The panel should pop out but you will inevitably snap a couple of plastic lugs off. I'm sure the make it this way on purpose so you have to buy a new panel. i enjoy having my coffee as I'm driving to work so I miss it.
