  1. Hi Moff I think loads of people on here have got the standard bose amps and speakers hooked up to aftermarket headunits. I am sure there's a post on here somewhere that tells you what you need. It's an adapter that enables you to plug after market units into bose and from what I have read works fine. I think the Pioneer unit looks really nice (HD3BT). I know it's a lot of money but seems to do everything and bet the bluetooth would work well. You can select people from your contacts on-screen I think. Also what interested me about it was you can get a software add-on that does speed camera's so you literally would have an all-in one solution. I really want one but I guess I will need a 350z first Still hopefully in the new year after Feb!! Have a search through this ICE Section and you should be able to find the info about the adapter and harness you need! PS - Noticed you have a white one on order, can't wait to see pics of that as not seen one yet!
  2. Congrats mate. I was thinking of you yesterday and today with this nice weather. Someone is obviously looking down on you. Can't wait to see the pics. Black will look amazing and it will keep you busy cleaning PS - Just to re-inforce, can't wait to see the pics!!!!

Hi mate, I know the one you mean as it's in the brochure. I have got the part number I think if thats any good? Would be able to post it up tomorrow for you! there a few other things like boot matt etc. I bring the brochure into work and then post the number for you.
  5. Let us know how you get on with your choices guys. Will be interested to find out.
  6. Sent you over a PM. probably get more off buying an ex-demo but worth a look. Good luck anyway and let us know how you get on.
  7. Hi KS2006, I too have been thinking about this one. I'm not ready to buy yet (hoping around Feb) but have started off the process of seeing what kind of offers there are. I guess it depends on what kind of an offer they are giving you. Assuming it's worth while then I would think it should be ok. I was worried they would have been thrashed but you could buy a 6 month old privately and it could have been thrashed. I guess just check all the wheels and inside for scuff marks but I suppose you can't really tell how it's been driven previously. I have also seen a few places offering deals on new ones, especially by the end of Sept so you could grab a bargain on a new one. Depends again on how good the offers are you have been given. Do you want me to send over any contact details via PM or anything?
  8. Looks fantastic. Love it in black and nice wheels too. Never noticed the LED's on the front before.
  9. Hi flakmunky, I was wondering about this too! I guess most people who have changed the stereo in the Z have not got the OEM Sat Nav and tend to get a single unity that does it all or opt for a TomTom in the cubby hole. Not sure if the OEM Sat Nav will still work if you swap out the Headunit. Have you tried asking an ICE installer? Good luck anyway and be interested to find out how you get on.
  10. Thanks Lomoto, I didn't realise. Wasn't planning on a JDM to be honest but have never really looked into it. Is it what most of you guys do. I was going to stick to a UK car maybe 6-12 months old but want a MY07 so choice might be limited. I see what was meant now regarding the SAT NAV being useless on a JDM
  11. Hi, Sorry to ask a stupid question but what is JDM. Is that the type of connector used to link and aftermarket headunit to the bose? Cheers
  12. Cheers for the welcome. No worries about the Sat Nav question. I may not get round to doing it but was considering changing the head unit for something Ipod Friendly. Thanks again guys
  13. Hi everyone, Haven't really posted much on here as not actually got a Z yet but am hoping if all goes well to be buying around Feb next year. As you can imagine I have far too long to wait and have been pondering over the different options and have a question re the ICE. Regarding SatNav, does anyone know how this works with the Head Unit. I like the idea of the SatNav but would be tempted to change the Stereo Headunit for a Double Din jobbie. I have seen posts that you can get an adapter for the BOSE amps to link up to an aftermarket head unit but wondered where that left you with the Sat Nav. Would it be a complete nightmare and best to go for one without Sat Nav - Possibly buy a headunit with everything? I quite like the look of the dash with Sat Nav thats all, not the most important factor I know. Anyway thanks in advance and here's wishing on next Feb (ish)
