Just in case any of you guys are after Cargo Nets, I ordered a Pug 307 one off ebay and it fits fine. Can't compare against a genuine 350z one but for a tenner you can't complain!

As some of you will know I got myself a 350z Coupe 3 weeks ago. Over the moon with the car in fact it’s even better than I imagined. One quick question, I have noticed that when the engine/gearbox is cold 2nd gear seems a bit clunky. It’s quite stiff going from 1st to 2nd and also makes a bit of a clunk when it goes in. I almost feel like I’m forcing it which I’m guessing isn’t good. The cars only done just over 4k and is a 58 plate. Also as the car is cold I’m only taking it easy at this stage. When the car is warmed up nicely it doesn’t do it. Is this just a characteristic or do you think I should get it checked out? As usual, thanks in advance

Its certainly a very tight squeeze but it is just about do-able... Hi KTA, just wondered what size sub you have there, hard to tell from the pics, is it a 10"? I like the idea of keeping it all stealth

My thoughts would be if you budgeted a grand and can get a Second Hand Nismo for £600 then you either have money for a romantic weekend away or an induction kit and couple of other touches.... Sounds like a good line of thinking I must admit the induction kit sounds tempting, I know the power is not worth thinking about due to the ECU dialing it out but can you hear the difference from the induction kits when inside the car. Just wondered if they sound good enough to warrant £300-400? Cheers

Sorry guys, car was delivered on Friday and then it was my wifes Birthday. Good news is we had a nice drive out to where the hotel was Anyway, I am so pleased with the car. Here's some pics: I hadn't even driven one before the car was delivered, but there was just nothing else I wanted for the money. Friday morning I was up at 5:30am as just couldn't sleep and then it turned up about 10:00am. Took it for a drive, polished and waxed it and then just been driving since. The only other fast cars I have had have been a Clio 172 (not that fast but a good hot hatch) and a Golf R32. The Z feels like a completely different car. I know I am stating the obvious but the whole concept is just much more exciting. As you can tell I'm over the moon!!!! Thanks for all of the comments guys! PS - I know the Frost grey isn't to everyones taste but I really like it. Pics don't really do it justice! PPS - Does anyone know how much a Nismo CAT back would cost. Just after a rough idea as may need to start saving again

Hi there, Just one thing to note. I don't think that car is a 313 as it's a 2006. You can tell as all 313 cars are 2007+ (can't remember the exact month but may be June??), have the bulge in the bonnet and also that style of blue was discontinued on 313 cars. Just thought I'd mention it as not sure if you specifically wanted a 313. It looks very nice though. Good luck with the hunt!

Hi Bronzee, Not brand new but not far off, it's a 58 Plate done about 4k so should be nicely run in I'll try and get some pics next week when I get it. Have been driving a run around (Saxo) for years so it will be nice to get back into something decent but will also take some getting used to. Never had a RWD car that has been powerful before.

Hi Srobrien, Thanks for the post it looks like it will be really useful. I really like the look of this headunit but wondered how you were getting on with it now you have had it a while. Is the user interface quite slick. Main things I will be after is fast IPOD Control, Touch Screen quick to respond and decent speed camera alerts (for safety reasons of course)

Hi guys, Well, I have put a deposit down. Got myself a Black 313 Coupe, GT Pack with NAV and Frost Grey Leather, can’t wait. Hopefully get it next Friday. To say I’m excited would be an understatement!!! I’ll get some pics up as soon as I get it!!!!

Hi guys, I have been hanging around here for a while now and finally at the stage that I'm starting to look for a 350z. I'm looking for a Black GT Coupe 313 say around 57 - 58 reg and ideally without Sat Nav as I'd like to add in a double din unit like a Pioneer or Alpine with built in Sat Nav. The only thing is that many of them seem to have Sat Nav around that age and I wondered if anyone new if it was possible to buy a Non Sat Nav centre console section and put a cubby hole back in. Thought it would be pointless having the facory sat nav sitting there doing nothing. I saw a really nice one for sale privately the other week which was perfect but it's gone. Anyway sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but a bit of a mix of questions really. Loving the forum and look forward to any help you can provide. PS If anyone knows of a Black 313 GT for sale let me know as there seems to be less cars on the market at the moment Cheers guys

Hi mate. Yeah if you wouldn't mind letting me know your opinion on the IPOD menus that would be great. The speed camera alerts sound good too. Have you got the blackbird B100P linked to a Alpine Headunit then. I noticed they are going to bring out a B200P unit that can dock directly inside the W-205R Head Unit. Sounds interesting! Yes it seems there is actually more of a selection than I first relaised that cover most angles. Thanks for your help

just had a look at the Kenwood DNX7200. I must say it looks like very good value. Even if you add on the £80 for the bluetooth it's still good. Seen one place doing it for £720 with the bluetooth after a quick search (justkenwood.co.uk). Again no mention of speed cameras on the website which surprises me. Do they not like to mention it or something? After all, if it can do it then you would think it would be a good selling point. Can anyone comment on how the speed camera update works and if it's any good? I'm not a maniac or anything just don't want to get caught out. Also has anyone got the ipod adapter. Just wondered how the interface was on it as thats another thing I seemed to have a strange obsession with! I do really like it, used to have a kenwood mask unit years ago which was very reliable and sounded pretty good too! It was Minidisc thhough so ended up getting rid! Sorry to keep asking questions. If I get the chance over Christmas I'll try and visit a few shops and take my ipod to test out the user interface and maybe be able to provide some useful input instead of just asking

Thanks askmenice. I quite like the look of the alpine and now I know it can do speed camera's thats quite tempting. I will try find a dealer with both in so I can go and compare. Excellent didn't realise that. I thought I looked on the web and didn't notice anything about speed camera's, do they refer to them as something else like pointss of interest? I'll have a look at that then, are you pleased with it over all. Looks like a nice unit but do also like the pioneer. Does it have built in bluetooth?

Hi Askmenice - I looked at that Alpine unit. It looks really nice and like the way the nav unit comes out. Do you know if you can get a speed camera add-on/software upgrade for the Alpines as thats something I quite like the sound of? Too many speed cameras everywhere now! Hi H5 - That would certainly make sense as I guess they expect to encounter more noise in a soft tob with the roof down etc. It certainly sounds a lot better. More than just a tweak. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a completely different system. It's bad that they can get away with it as people tend to expect something special. Having said that I don't rate BOSE Home Systems that much either (from what I've heard so far) although the IPOD Speaker systems souds quite good! Sorry off topic again!

H5, Makes sense. I think although I will start with a headunit when i get my Z in time I'd like to swap the speakers and amp out. It's a shame really as whilst you can always do better I am sure BOSE could have adone a reasonable job if they wanted. My fiance's car has Bose. It's an Audi Cab and to be honest it's actually quite good. It's good enough not to want to replace everything anyway. However we had an A4 saloon as a loan car which had BOSE and it was awful. If I had paid £500 for that from Audi I'd want my money back! I think they must have just put better systems in the CABS on the audi's. A bit off topic but hey! Maybe if you get it all sorted you could let me know as I definitely would like to do this when I get a Z. I made a call to Alpine UK a few months back to discuss Nav options etc and it seemed the best idea was to go for a standard car (as in without Nav) and replace the stereo with an all in one. I was originally asking if you could have a Alpine Unit in place of the Stereo doing the music and replace the factory Nav screen for an alpine unit for sat nav. He said the only way to do thhis would mean that the voice command from the Nav telling you which way to go would not auto lower the music volume and that it wouldn't be the best option. After that I decided when I look for a car I'll go for one without Nav and add in my own. Hope you fololowed that, if I can be of any more help let me know. So are you having to wait until April for a white one? What wheels you going for Nismo's? Thats going to be the longest wait of your life but great when it arrives!
