    Carrera GT

I live in Standish so not far away. sl114 - I'm telling you, the build quality, especially the Carbon fibre is amazing. Everything just looks well thought through. Plus the engine! No turbo rubbish either, just a sweet V10. The brakes are just mahoosive!! 0 - 124 mph in 9.9 seconds isn't bad either! I could be pursuaded to swap my Zed.

    Carrera GT

Went to my local porsche dealer (Bolton) yesterday as i heard they had a Carrera GT in. When i got there it was smack bang in the middle of the show room. What a car!!! I was drooling on it. lol. i saw one of these lap Brands Hatch last year and it sounded awesome. All the staff inside where really friendly and chatted to us about the car. It was bought by some guy for £265k (or roundabout cant remember exact number), he didnt have anywhere to store it while he went on vacation and asked the garage if they minded keeping hold of it. Obviously they accepted however they said that when he gets back he is selling it on to someone for £500k!! Thats a hefty sum but i'd keep it. Managed to get some pics on my phone, if i get chance i'll post them up.
  5. Nice! What does the spacer do on the throttlebody? is that there for the plenum or does it have its own benefits?
  6. My friend works at Halfords too. The touchscreen is the newer one. He also told me they are pioneer items relabeled. Not sure where they are made but the pioneer ones could be made in china too.

    Atom extreme

You know if you think it can work out go for it mate, id love one of these. My aim is to get an exige but this could be a great alternative. Unfortunately i dont know what i'd use this for, as you say, u couldnt even nip the shops in it without being scared your pasta and kitchen foil is going to blow out. I'd love one though!

    Pics Of Tinting?

When i spoke to the guy who did my tints i think he said the max you should have on your front windows is 30%, you cannot have a tint that covers the whole of the windscreen only a UV blocking one which is clear. You can tint the windscreen but it can only cover 30% of the bottom of windscreen abd/or 30% of the top (i.e. Sunscreen sticker). With regards to the front windows the punishment is set on a sliding scale set by VOSA or DVLA can't remember which he said. So say you get pulled for having a 40% tint then you could get advised to take it off, if you got caught with say 60% then they can make you take it off within a set period and if you got caught with a 80% then they can make you take it off and hand you a fine. The sliding scale was on a form from VOSA/DVLA that he let me look at.
  9. Hiro, easy choice! I'll take your Rays... easy!

  12. Hi all, Im putting this up on behalf of my dad. Its a Facelifted 04 Landrover Freelander E in top condition as photo's should hopefully show. Has TD4 engine which is one of, if not the best engine that was put in the Freelander. 3 door. Electric windows including rear window. Full Service History. Radio/CD Player. 27.5k miles. Roof vents. Tow Bar (my dad never used this). Alloys. Matalic silver. Looked at plenty of other Freelanders before my dad gott this immaculate example. 2 previous owners including my dad. Looking for £9500. Unfortunately this car will not have tax as it has a DisabilityTax certificate and cannot be transfered to new owner. Car also due its first MOT in middle of march, but this can be done on agreement of price. PM me for more details etc.. Thanks
  13. thats pretty cheap! i'm sure Nissan charge £60 for a set of normal ones.
  14. Can you get refills all round or just the rear?
  15. ( Digsy - "This a site devoted to the current Zed and will no doubt continue until people stop driving them rather than they go out of production. There's no prerequisite to actually own one to take part and those who wish to stay after they have sold their Zeds are made to feel welcome. There are other forums for classic Zeds and Nissans in general and I think we should keep this one as it is. As and when Nissan replace the 350z no doubt we can debate how the site evolves with everyone contributing. Sound fair enough? " ) Sounds fair, it was just a thought after seeing a great car forum i was once part of just slowly come to a halt and close didn't want to see this one go in the same way. i've been part of many forums and this one seems to have the best content (Z and non-Z related) and members.
  16. Sarnie you can't help yourself can you! Im goin to nick lomoto's Nismo sticker and slap it on your windscreen right in your line of sight!!!

  18. Iv'e always fancied a BM, my brother used have a 325 in Germany as a runabout, it was quite nippy too. Not sure on the availability and price of parts though, 200sx would be good but im guessing they'll be difficult to get hold of as there still in some demand due to drifting etc.. becoming popular. Plus it has a turbo and were thinking of staying clear of them for reliability purposes.
  19. it's certainly a possability. I'm not going to rule it out. if a decent 205 comes up at the right price im sure the budget can be made bigger.
  20. Am i wrong in thinking were limiting our members to people with 350z's? I know it sounds stupid but hear me out...Eventually the 350 will cease production and members of this forum will slowly but surely dwindle away 1 by 1. I for one love this forum and especially the other members (love maybe abit strong here ) which make it up, but i don't want to lose cantact with everyone when i eventually sell my zed. I know this is a privelage that i have to owning a 350 but it can't last forever under the current vice (is that the word?) anyhow what i'm saying is, should we not be looking to the future and changing our club to maybe Nissan or Z uk? this will surely guarantee that the club has a future and lasts much longer. There is a much bigger zed communioty that many of us get involved with anyway (Silverstone Z parade lap etc..). With the success of the 350 they are surely going to make a replacement in the future say 400Z and then what do we do? I'm a fan of all cars in general and not just the 350z which i currently own. Maybe im being an idiot.....
  21. Just seen the golf, damn thats quick! its taking some of them corners pretty damn fast!
  22. i remember those days - nissan primeras and Volvo's for gods sakes. made it even better when TOCA came out for the PC+playstation. God i loved that game! haha By the way we have not bought the laguna yet, it was just an idea after seeing one with nearly 12months MOT and tax. Car is still open for debate, as were only buying at end of march so plenty of time to find a golf etc..
  23. No i understand, but i want a car i can learn with. I'm not a mechanic but im handy and willing. I want to start from scratch. Theres no fun in handing your hard earned cash to over to someone else, only for them to do all the work. How will i know how to fix it if it breaks? if i got a perfectly good 7 it would be wrecked it in a week! Regarding the laguna, its never going to be fast unless i throw a load of cash at the engine so i'm planning on concentrating on weight, brakes and suspension. As i said this will be a joint venture and we've decided to do this as cheap as possilble. So we've budgeted ourselfs £100 for the car crazy i know but we want to spend the rest of the money on making it run good and modifying it. We've looked at a few golfs, metro's etcc but its finding one. Bodywork isn't important as long as the chassis and engine are sound. We'll work on the rest over time and make sure its fully track worthy before we go out in it. In fact a golf is probably our first choice or a 205 as they'll have great steering feel, quick out the box and cheap parts. A turbo is a possability (21 turbo, 600 ti etc.) but trying to stay away from them for reliablity.
  24. i do go to work in the Zed, its just costing me 2k a year in insurance for the mileage i do, plus £80 a week in fuel. Its bloomin brill on the motorway, but i hate putting miles on the thing. I'd rather be putting the miles on it down some A roads instead of M roads! it would be great if i could start to use it as a weekend toy. i'd enjoy it more as i'd miss it through the week. he he
