  2. You were right about the extra work in the evenings Kev. They helped me understand a lot more than i orignally thought from the class notes. You had both on the friday! Wow that is madness, we had the full course monday to wednesday, foundation thursday 12am, recap thursday afternoon, then practitioner exam 9am on the friday! So is it GNVQ qualifications? Shut up Jay

  4. Sensible answer to your question is yes
  5. You know what, that is exactly my attitiude as i dont see why i need to have this to do my job, pretty much because i have been doing it for ages and they didnt teach me that much which i didnt already know. However, they put a lot of processes and structure into place which helps so much in project management. Mainly about the reporting and when to issue work packages. Also around requirements capture and progressing to next stages of work. I can honestly say i also did it to put on my CV as it will open a lot more doors in the future for me
  6. Totally agree with you there. However i want PMT to be honest as i like the idea of something that is more linear rather than horizontal, if you know what i mean. Also i need something that is recognised in the states as that is where i would like to end up, so having Prince and PMI will help getting something out there. You big girl Jay you crack me up mate! When is your car ready?

  10. PRINCE2 is a process-based approach for project management, providing an easily tailored and scaleable project management methodology for the management of all types of projects. which means.... It helps me do my job better

  12. Why would a faster train mean that you leave your car at home? Because i first started driving to the underground as it worked out cheaper, however there was an overground station 5minutes walk from my house and it worked out being only £10 more a month, which i paid a lot more for in petrol, therefore saving money and racking up miles on the car
  13. WHen i had it, i started off using it to drive to the station and leaving it outside my ex's house, it was a private road so very secure, however after a while i decided to take a different train which was quicker so the zed became a weekend car, mainly to go see sarah.
  14. dude that is very witty for a thursday morning
  15. The course is not specific as the skills in the methodology are transferable to any industry that i would like to go into. However i would say building would involve a lot more courses and i think more experience as it is so specialist. However Prince gives you the tools to go out and find out what you need to do from the relevant key people and manage the project that way. As a project manager i do not need to know about the industry i am working in (however i belive it helps more than anything as you know when people are not telling the truth and it helps you manage by exception better) as they are just tools for delivering a project. Next on the cards is PMI as that is the methodology seen as a top qualification in the states WOW I SOUND ALL GROWN UP!
  16. basically there are two parts, if you pass the foundation you can be prince-2 qualified but only to foundation level. Practitioner means that you have the full qualification and are eligable to practice project management knowing that you have the full Prince-2 qualification. I.e. i can earn a lot more money going forward as i have a full project management qualification
  17. For those that do not know, i went on my Prince-2 practitioner course back on the 11th Feb and i just got a letter today saying that i passed. This involved theory for a few weeks leading up to the course and then a foundation exam on the Thursday and a final exam on the friday. It was a lot of hard work and i did about 3 hours every night when i got home of extra studying to make sure i was up on everything and it has paid off. So now...all hail...Louis the Prince 2 practitioner
