Did it work?

I had it read by a garage when it was in the post, so didn't have chance to try it, but I did plug it in when it arrived, and it was recognized by the car, so there should no problem if or when the lamp appears again.

I also plugged it into the works vehicle, and even it told me the VIN number

I would think you need to squirt it into the lock mechanism, not the keyhole ?

I was hoping it would get to the lock mechanism, via the keyhole?...maybe not.

looking @ your signature, I detect from that you have some connection with Canada,i suppose that -4% is approaching a heat wave over there ,

but 2 winters back it did get down to -18% in my neck of the woods, and I did'nt have any problems with the doors&locks what so ever, so can't understand why I'm having problems now?

I've squirted some WD40 into the key hole, and it's gonna be about -4% here tonight, so I hope that does the trick, I'll know tomorrow morning.

Hi Guys.

These last few mornings, I've had the problem of the drivers side lock playing up,

it opens OK using the fob, but when I get in and shut the door it won't stay shut, and the catch seems to be frozen, I've discovered by using the button on the inside door it eventually locks, but not before the lock goes mad by trying to lock&unlock, and then I find I can't get out!, so I have to clamber over the gear stick and get out of the passenger side, this is so annoying

is there a remedy to this?.

this error code appeared over the w/end , had the error wiped using a code scanner, it hasn't come back....yet.

if it does come back what's the solution?

I'm looking at buying the Google Nexus7 (32gig) it looks like it's going to be priced at £200, which sounds alot more tempting.

Next time your MOT is due, it might be be a good idea to to print a copy of this, and take it with you, to convince your local tester the Z can't be tested on the rollers, because there's a few out there that don't seem to know.

I noticed when I replaced the valve with a in line connector, the pressure was very fast, maybe yours is partially blocked?

Expect it's likely the non return valve which needs replacing.

That's exactly what it was, replaced it with a straight though connector
