I think it maybe time to get my Landy out series 3, no heating, electric anything, but does have a gun rack!! I drove home last night and a collegue was following me through the country roads, I could feel the bak end twicthing, he said it was wagging it tail like a spaniel on speed
  3. Cheers Mate Thats what I thought
  4. Nice. What sort of sound, I assume loud, but is it a low growl or a high buzz. Dorian, whats the scoop with Gauges, how come the cost, surley it can't be that hard
  5. The 3.5"? Does it look similar to the HKS?
  6. I know APS do a 2.5" zorst, I heard they do a 3.5" too, anyone heard it?
  7. I trust you are getting plenty of deleting practice in these days bap
  8. Stew your wrong, they scrapped the Turbo and brought out the TurboS
  9. Hmmmmmmmm someones been reading Max Power, thats nasty
  10. In a recent copy of Evo they were debating what car's they would buy as opposed to spending the money on a Veyron, so here's my list, what would you buy? 350Z - Full Cosworth Engine, twin turbo, uprated Sus, brakes, stripped interior, Custom True dual exhaust, custom Kahn alloys, custom interior £75,000 Mercedes G Wagan, full armour plated and Supercharged version £85,000 Lotus Carlton £24,000 Lancia Intergali Evo £18,000 Aston Martin DB9 £125,000 Shelby Mustang (Original) £35,000 Ford GT (Twin turbo) £200,000 Ferrari Dino £100000 Ruf Turbo 911F £150000 1998 911 GT2 £80000 Golf Mk11 GTI Big Bumper £3000 Corrado VR6 Storm £5000 And a bloody big garage
  11. A nice set of spinners, clean them regularly and make sure you wash the salt off
  12. Get them to throw the book at the scumbag This makes me :rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:
  13. You just need to ensure you have correct clearance, toomuch and you'll have problems wit your arches In the good old days I had a mate with a Mk2 GTI, who lower his car him self, front wheels were so close to the arches he could't turn, complete bodge job
  14. Would these be complicated to fit yourself?
  15. Good call, Zzzz Unless you are looking for serious power gains (and its gets very expensive very quicky) I would set your self a budget, and then work around that. Easy wins are Plenum small power gain, not going to rock your world Zorst / HF cats - Noise Intake - Noise Suspension, coliovers etc, not massive straight line difference, but if you do windy road driving will make a huge performance and speed difference ECU - Get a piggy back ECU and then you mods will come into play, although I would'nt imagine you'll ever get more than 35 extra bhp
  16. Good call Phil, straight line speed is the most focused on a least used element of speed
  17. Maybe we should expand on the Sticky front, so to avoid repitition and allow new users to find answers to those more frequantly asked questions?
  18. Sarnie I agree with The Minels comments. The overall point is, the community on this forum is exceptional and I think everyone enjoy's it and the banter that goes with it, but if every thread is over run by banter that runs off topic or is degenerating then harsher controls would have to be imposed and and the end of the day, no-one wants that
  19. The point is, sometimes we just wanna talk @*!#. Some people more than others. Captint locked the avatar thread just because he thought it was pointless. It was in the off topic area where it should be. Theres loads of stuff on here non zed related that I find tedious but I choose not to read them.................. Actually Sarnie, I locked it as it was turning in to a complete pile of pointless banter. Off topic does not mean slanging matches and pointless comments it's alternative topics. Just posting constant answers to boost your post count does not count as an off topic discussion
  20. Is there any benefit of getting one of these put in during a service, if so, what?
  21. Sarnie is right, short term points are sometimes better than points, simply as you go back to zero and hence have 12 more opportunities to clock some more up, as opposed to getting 12 points and getting a long term band. However I would expect a ban to affect your insurance much worse than points as you still have to declare it

    couple of pics

Thats where the coilovers come in. Always a bit of tenuous date though, when I had 17's I wanted 18's, when I had 18's I wanted 19's when I had 19's (last car) i didn't notice the difference with 18's
