  1. Ooops missed this thread somehow. I'll be up for it to, can't do the 3rd but the 10th is fine. Has the meeting point been decided? As I am now on 9 points I'll be the slow barsteward at the back.
  2. My top mileage on a tank was 450miles, filled up with 70litres..... ......I'll get me pipe and slippers
  3. I was thinking it might have been the end of the rainbow... So the technician says it was because the GPS sensor was not in the correct place, it was too far to the left on the rear strut brace and was being covered by the metal of the boot lid. So why it suddenly stopped working after 2 years is anyone's guess.....unless it was the leprechauns who live in the back of the car that moved it!!
  4. Well it's at Dan Perkins right now being diagnosed, so for all you curious people I will have an answer pretty soon
  5. Hmmmm I know, strange one eh!!
  6. I have this problem with the satnav in that everytime I switch the engine on it seems to default the position to central London. If I set the position and heading to where it should be all seems to be ok in that routing works and tracks the car's position ok. If I switch the engine off, say to get petrol, then switch engine back on again it's defaulted back to central London. If you check the GPS settings in the setup menu it shows position as "calculation out of range" and there's no satellite info. Anyone had this problem? I don't have a manual for the Birdview system so don't know if it's covered in there. Any ideas before I take to the dealers for a warranty fix? Cheers, Kenny
  7. I get the not-so-slick 1st to 2nd gear change when cold but when the car's warmed up it's fine. No other gear change is sticky.
  8. It's impossible to winkle anything for free from shell....
  9. I reckon Shell just didn't want to "shell" out on the bonus points
  10. I'm in Bracknell. Saw an Azure this morning but he was going too fast to wave !!
  11. I've no idea what the car sounds like without a JWT since my car came with it already installed. Isn't the heat shield supposed to get round taking in hot air from the engine bay?? All I know is the car sounds great and it has never stalled....well except when I first got it and I wasn't used to the heavy clutch
  12. I hear what you'resaying , but after a couple of weeks!!
  13. I totally agree with ir_fuel on the reliability front, my friend has just had his clutch fail after it being replaced a few weeks earlier (a Tuscan) and this is not the first massive bill he's faced in almost two years of ownership. It's a shame TVR have moved on to mainland Europe though.
  14. Who owns the car on the right
  15. I often se a GM in Bracknell (ok there's probably more than one!) but everytime I wave I get a blank
  16. You have my total, heartfelt sympathy!! I'll bet it said "safety camera unit" or words to that effect.Nothing to do with safety where the majority of these vans are put, more like maximum chance of revenue!
  17. Yes, well the alleged speed of course!
  18. Must post a couple of my pics, the weather you got looks as good as we got.....chance in a million I'd say!!!
  19. Rothesay, of course! Was there last year, I knew it looked familiar. Thanks for clearing it up. I love driving in Scotland, 2 years ago when I had my GTV we had a group tour through Glencoe, Kintail and ended up in Applecross taking in the infamous Bealach na Ba, superb, the Zed's would love such a tour!!
  20. I know, as a V-Power card holder I was asking who wanted to be recommended a while back. I guess no-one's used it 3 times in a month yet.
