We have that data already but Cosworth have specifically requested that it isn't released until they have prepared a marketing document. We'll publish our own figues when the testing is complete

Cosworth have assured me that the strut brace still fits
-
Hi N15MNO, We are still waiting for them to arrive. Cosworth have sent me their own internal data sheets which show the test results of various different configurations (including spacers etc) which is interesting. I am not at liberty to disclose these but I understand they are working on a diluted version for marketing purposes. I'm happy to post our results when they become available. A lot of people are buying them for the bling factor because they do look VERY cool Judging by our initial orders I think there may be a demand/supply problem, so if anyone does want one of the first batch I recommend that they get a deposit to us asap.

We have a client that is having one on his APS twin turbo car but that will be done at the same time as some other upgrades next spring

Sorry if this post is 1 month old.. but i just noticed TDi stated 2 different types of re-map ECU.. FCON iS and SZ - Whats the difference between these two? The iS model has replaced the previous SZ model. It has some additional useful functionality plus an output to view some engine parameters on an external screen (instead of buying separate meters)
-
Hi, We are expecting them to arrive this month and already have a ginea pig arranged for testing. I'll post up the results as soon as they are available
-
Hi Guys, Thanks for your interest, these fuels are intended for dedicated race use or for road cars that go on track days and have an ECU with selectable maps. Hope this helps Mark
-
We are now able to supply a range of dedicated high octane race fuels in 25 litre and 205 litre drums. This is of specific interest to anyone who is using an HKS FCON engine management contol system, because they have the ability to switch between different calibration maps so that you can easily change from one type of fuel to another

I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to that. We weren't involved in the R&D, and we haven't had the pleasure of evaluating one yet. Sorry again

Hi Kaminari We will be happy and honoured to take a look for you. We can be reached via www.tdi-plc.com Thanks and best regards Mark

+4 Based on the price, it would be approx. £28 per bhp, which is a bargain..... Any dyno proven results guys? We haven't tested one yet so I can't offer you any of our data but Cosworth claim 25hp Given the reputation you guys seem to be building up, if you can get your hands on one and prove it then I think you'll get plenty of orders on these..... And a price on the engine cover would be good since I'm still missing mine...... Thanks for your kind words H5. We will have our hands on 35 next month. If we are asked to fit any here, I'll certainly post up the dyno data

Cosworth claim a 25hp capability. I am quite surprised about the price reactions so far. I have to say that I think it's an obsolute bargain personally
-
Hi Mike, The engine cover is optional and not included in the price. We don't have the price yet but will do shortly. Mark

Hi, I am sorry if this contravenes any T&C, so any Mods please feel free to remove this post if necessary. I have been told by Cosworth that there is confidence of delivery of these beauties next month (October 07). This being the case we are now taking orders for them. The price is £665 plus vat (£781.38) with free delivery. I have attached a picture of one installed on a car. I am told that there are no strut brace interference issues. I hope this is of some interest. Mark

Some of the FCON models are capable of manipulating the speed limiter on some cars. The FCON iS or SZ doesn't have an effective SLD function for the 350Z
-
Hi, you need to purchase a separaet speed delimiter. If you would like to PM I can provide you the details. Thanks and best regards Mark
-
Hi Zedrush, The FCON does not remove the speed limiter on the 305Z. We have installed a low power nitorus system one one 350Z that gets used very hard. There were not any problems but it's a very risky strategy. Personally I wouldn't do it without stronger rods at the very least, unless I was prepared for the worst. HTH

Hi Simon, please PM for prices etc as I don't want to contravene any T&C's Thanks and best regards Mark

I am happy to annouce a couple of good things today. Firstly, we have increased our production capacity by over 30% which should reduce waiting times for booking into our workshop. Secondly we have changed our charging structure to make the use of our services more attractive to those who woud like to use us for larger jobs but may have been discouraged by our prices. With immediate effect the new structure is: Workshop facilities: Up to 9 hours £80 per hour From 9 hours to 54 hours £72 per hour From 54 hours onwards £64 per hour Dyno facilities: Up to 3 hours £95 per hour Half day rate £345 Full day rate £640 Trade dyno rental facilities: Hourly rate £60 per hour Half day rate £220 Full day rate £400 Please note that the above prices are plus vat. I hope to be of some service

A quick update -Tom has called from Ireland to report that the car is running faultlessly
-
Sorry - my fault - I don't think I mentioned that it was auto transmission Just in case anyone is not aware of the reason why it's difficult to run an auto on a chassis dyno to get a power curve, it's this: The power has to be tested in a single gear (normally 4th or 5th - whichever is a direct 1:1 ratio) at full throttle. The power run is taken from as low engine speed as possible - normally around 2000rpm then revved through to just under the red line (or wherever peak power occurs). The trouble with an auto transmission is that it will keep kicking down a gear or two whenever full throttle is applied, which means that it can't be held in the direct 1:1 gear throughout the usable engine speed. There are various techniques to try and get over this issue, but it's aggravation and difficult to maintain repeatability and have accuracy confidence.
