  1. Abbey are constantly badgering me to get this! UTEC's nicer That'll be great if it is - the FCON is a mighty tough act to follow What makes you say the UTEC is nicer? TDi has a culture of constant improvement, so if we can find a better product than FCON we will seriously consider endorsing it
  2. That's exactly right Traktion I don't know for sure what the power handling capabilities of these parts are, but I am confident that they are well within the power potential of this engine for the forseeable future (not sure about other components of the engine though), assuming that correct engine managements parameter calibration has taken place. Regarding costings, it depends on where you have the installation done. It will be relatively costly for a firm like ourselves to do it (if you discount the added value of our superior delivery and technical expertise profiles), but some may say that this is money well spent. Alternatively there are plenty of 350Z specialists in the UK that may be able to do it cheaper than us. I will be happy to provide an estimate by PM if needed. Please let me know. Thanks PS, it is cheaper to have it done before an engine failure (saves the cost of a cylinder block, sump and any other damaged components).
  3. Hi Sorry if this has been mentioned before The new HKS low compression pistons and high performance steel connecting rods are now in stock. The prices are yet to be confirmed and should be available any time now. Mark

    Procharger Anyone?

Thank you very much for that - much appreciated . Anything like that we can take care of, what I was mostly concerned about was the superchargers reliability at higher boost pressures. Procharger (ATI) say that it will be fine, but I prefer to place realism before optimism
  5. Anyone seen the latest edition of Japanese Performance magzine (specifications on page 54) Oh dear Time for Mr Bottom to meet Mr Boot again in the editorial department
  6. Hi Graham, I didn't know you were a memebr - excellent stuff Sadly my Boss (She Who Must Be Obeyed) has other plans for me this Saturday Most gracious of you to allow your results to be known to the guys Perhaps the best course of action is to do a power run as it is now with the exhaust (to compare against the previous run), install the spacers and remap, then a final power run. Sounds like a plan

    Procharger Anyone?

    Interesting stuff. Thanks Guys
  8. Will do . We have been installing the FCON on the 350Z for a couple or three years now - it's the best one we have seen so far. I won't be here this Saturday (when the car is coming in), but assuming that our customer is willing, I have asked our guys to record some info, images and a video for you.
  9. Hi there, Has anyone used the Procharger with higher than the recommended boost pressure? We have a customer that has one installed who wants the engine/ecu/fuelling etc upgraded but also wants to raise the boost pressure from around 7psi up to 15 psi. I'm concerned about the supercharger reliability Any information or experiences will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Mark
  10. These are Cosworth built engines based on brand new parts so an exchange programme is not necessary. The official price is £TBA (to be announced) which I will expect will be known shortly. What I really like (I'm from an engineering back ground and have spent a long time air flow testing and modifying cylinder heads) is the Cosworth CNC ported heads. These are fitted with larger valves and have been ported by a CNC machine to provide approximately 35% more airflow without sacrificing air velocity (maintains drivability and economy whilt enhancing the power). These cost a tad over £3k plus vat per pair (based on all new parts - no exchange necessary). Hope this helps. Mark
  11. Hello, I am proud to announce that Cosworth (legendary designers and manufacturers of racing engines for Formula 1 and other race series) have chosen us to partner them in the marketing of a new range of exceptionally high quality engine components for Japanese cars. The range of parts include: 1. CNC ported big valve cylinder heads. 2. Forged pistons 3. Billet crankshafts 4. Forged connecting rods 5. High performance camshafts. 6. Cylnder head gaskets. 7. Cylinder head studs kits 8. Crank case stud kits 9. Race engine bearings 10. "Crate" engines (engines that are assembled by Cosworth) So far the models covered are: 1. Nissan VQ35 (350Z) 2. Mitsubishi 4G63 (Lancer Evo) 3. Subaru Impreza 4. Honda K20 (Civic Type R) 5. Ford Duratec 6. BMW/Mini Cooper There are quite a few new products in the pipeline too. We are very proud to be associated with Cosworth, and are excited for the possibilites for Japanese car tuning enthusiasts.
  12. Hi Dorian, this car is using the HKS FCON SZ piggy back, which is a nice piece of kit.
  13. I just had a thought (a rarity I know ) We are installing some plenum spacers and remapping the ecu on a 350Z this weekend. If our customer is agreeable, maybe we could do a mini blog with before/after Certificates of Performance. Would anyone want to see that?
