  1. Anyone chopped off the two st st tin cans on the ends of the exhaust pipes? If not any idea of how it would affect the sound, louder/quieter or is it likely to affect performance. I personally hate the look of them and would loose them if possible.
  2. I assume it was nicked from North Devon? I live in Newcastle, geordie land, and will look out for it. How many pieces do you want the thief sent back in??
  3. Anyone know of any problems with the Skunk plenum spacers and what size (any make) would be best for an 04Z
  4. NOW SOLD
  5. Mine were exactly the same. The garage mechanics tend to tear them to bits during a service as the bolts and clips are steel and attached to plastic. As everyone other than Nissan seems to know, steel bolts and clips tend to rust when exposed to the elements under a car and will tear their mounting plastic when unbolting. As for the other under tray fixings are concerned the mechanics who have serviced my car have just screwed them to any fixing they could find or used cable ties instead. Ho hum the joys of DIY. Nice guide by the way

Bugger! Thought Id found a way of cutting the cost a bit. Ho hum
  10. As I understand it part of the cost of the tuning carried out by RS and Abbey is to buy the uprev licence. Does that mean you can sell this licence on to another person or is it specific to the guy having the work done?
  11. Yes, so if you want an improved look or a front bumper led conversion let me know cos there still available
  12. Unfortunately there are still those who can’t be bothered to do all that and continue to use the windy guns as they require less effort.
  13. Most will be aware of this problem but some may get benefit from my experience. Make sure you put a little copper slip/other on the radiused surface and thread of your locking wheel nuts and the normal wheel nuts. If not they can be over tightened by those pneumatic guns they use in garages and tyre companies and are almost impossible to get off . Had new tyres fitted to the wife’s car a couple of months ago and when I put it in to have the brake pads changed the garage couldn’t get the locking wheel nuts off because they were jammed on. The locking wheel nut socket was becoming worn and they thought they may have to cut the wheels off . I took the car back to the tyre company who spent an hour struggling but finally got them off (they said it was touch and go) I’ve since removed wheel nuts from both our cars and applied the grease, in fact Ive left the locking studs off her car as there so scuffed no one would be bothered to nick them anyway.
  14. I’m no expert but if you put the handbrake on full and try to pull away the car should stall (assuming the handbrakes good and the Z handbrakes are generally poor ) Or if your going up a steep hill in say second and put your foot down, if the engine tone goes up and the car doesn’t increase speed in proportion the clutch is probably slipping . Not sure you need to change the flywheel though only the clutch assembly.
  15. Bought from Rog518 a few weeks ago in a fit of enthusiasm. Unfortunately this disappeared before I got round to fitting them . So if you want a pair that are new and never been fitted - £55.00 inclusive of postage (what I paid for them) Dicky NOW SOLD
  16. Agree with the Z comments but Laphroaig is the one for me. The wife tells me I start speaking jock after a couple of snifters of that
  17. If you have a pair youd like to sell let me know please. Cheers
  18. They look (in geordie) "geet good man". Did he use the led strips you can buy or a redy made light unit and are they fully enclosed behind and protected from the weather?
  19. Thought I might just fit them to the front bumper, they cant be very heavy, the ones on the website come as a small oblong shape. Either there of poss try to fit them to the front bumper amber reflctors
  20. Anyone fitted LED DRL (and got pic's) or can recommend any cos I'm thinking of fitting some. Not those horrible Audi ones (beauty's in the eye of the beholder I suppose) more like the ones fitted to Porsche models. Seen some on this website but not sure how to create the address into a shortcut for you so just copied and pasted it. http://www.car-mod-shop.co.uk/DRL%20LED ... s-E-Marked
  21. Really? Well if they are stupid enough to stick their head out of a car door window and then close said window I think natural selection in this case may be a good thing!
  22. that will be a NO then. Well done everyone, up the revolution ! (now lets get the news and weather back on please)
  23. I wont but thought it might be interesting to see how everyone feels. Hope this poll works, cos Ive never done one before
  24. Sad to admit that I paniced a bit and popped in to my main dealer (Vic Young South Shields -wouldnt go past them). They put the car on the ramps and took the wheel off but couldnt see anything. Dropped it back down and took it outside to test and would you believe it NO MORE CLICKING ? Cant understand it. Any way they must have been on best part of an hour and wouldnt charge anything. Cant beat that. Anyway I slipped the mechanic £20 for his trouble, well worth it to me. Thanks for all you input lads, Dicky
