  1. Treat them with caution.... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=
  2. I have been stopped 3 times (in three weeks) recently for having "smaller letters/numbers" on the back of my JDM... this is because I wanted my private pate to read in one line so reduced the size of the figures (maybe got a little carried away with it!) Apparently they have had to crack down of "illegal" number plates because traffic cameras don't pick them up. The last time I was stopped I was doing 65mph on the motorway (for once) and was overtaken by a merc doing about 90mph, but obviously posed a greater or easier target/risk to the patrolman who was just pulling off the hard shoulder at the time. Not that I'm bitter about having a 10 minute lecture on number plates and traffic camera's! I have changed the plates back to normal now as its too much hassle....
  3. Just a little stone flicked up - hit the windscreen low down on drivers side. Crack grew rapidly over the day to 10" long! Krumble
  4. Following a massive crack - just got a quote for replacing my windscreen at the dealers (£669)... Luckily my insurance has a £50 excess for windscreens - about to break the good news to them! Krumble
  5. Fantasising is dreaming about a resisting a hot lady.
  6. I was just turning off at services turning...... - Krumbs
  7. hi All may be up for the 4th too - travelling up from Exeter too... Krumbs...
  8. Any updates - have you got the motor yet? Are you a happy bunny? --------- Krumble
  9. I always try to keep at least one eye open when driving, sometimes its even looking at the road ahead..... Seem to be a few blue Zed's down here...
  10. I did pass a JDM azure the other day, on the M5 just outside Exeter - I am sure I would have noticed a blonde driving! PS: I am always good.... Krumble
  11. Hi Bluelady I will keep my eyes peeled as i am in Torbay and working near Exeter... Have spotted a few Z's about but could still count them on one hand! - Krumbs
  12. Michaelwr: does the totaliser include: the fuel that they will use in SVA (~£60) Alarm/immobiliser required...(~£300) HKS Delimiter (that they won't put in unless you ask - rip off!)(~£150) Allow for mistakes in their budget spreadsheet (~£xxx) - they tend not to be able to add up properly If not watch out! Hence I wouldn't use Bonsai.
  13. You mean some people drive a Z without a helmet?!!
  14. I got my Z through Bonsai - you really have to watch out for hidden charges - they will try to sting you for the pre-SVA, fuel, etc etc. The "On the road price" they give should be fixed though which includes tax and duty.... the SVA I never even worked out how they charge for (its more than the T&C) and also their definition of "delimited" is sh*t (your car will still be limited) Not impressed by them - wouldn't recommend them - don't use them. Krumble.
  15. Thanks - thats an excellent response! Krumble.
  16. Will definately be claiming on insurance - however its the competancy of the fitter I'm worried about... I have had windscreens replaced on my previous car - and autoscreens left marks on the inside of the dash and pillars.... Any recommedations / pitfalls to avoid... Krumble.
  17. Has anyone replaced their windscreen recently? I had a stone hit mine this morning and put a 6" crack in the bottom right corner Will probably need replacing in the next few weeks (if it grows) and I was wondering if anyone had issues with getting a replacement.... Krumble.
  18. Don't use Bonsai. Lots of extra charges creep in. Poor customer service. long wait. They won't de-limit a 350z. Good luck.
  19. Thanks for that - I've got a manual...
  20. Update: I have the same problem with Bonsai - they won't delimit the car. I have been waiting for weeks for them to get back to me to tell me when they have some delimiters in stock (a likely story indeed!). Luckily you managed to get it checked when you were there. I suspect that as soon as you had driven off they would not be interested. Any update from Nana Moon? Did you get your car ok and are you happy? *fingers crossed for you* I have to say in retrospect I would not use them again.
  21. Annoying as their adverts are - try Norwich Union. They offered me a decent price (about £400) for my JDM. Important Point: Make sure you tell them "350Z" as if you say "Fairlady" they will assume its the old twin turbo beast (as did DVLA!) - Krumble
  22. Are you sure you filled up the Zed and not the fuel tanker (in the background reflection)?
