Yep, has to be done. Followed quickly by 4 new tyres. My delay is the cost against the weather. Book the track, accomation, ferry and arrive to find it pissing down. Will cost me about a grand to do it. One of the main reasons I'm doing it is my car comes back tomorrow complete with 4 new tyres, so might as well scrub the free set

There will be loads of places to stay. IIRC its not far at all from Guildford so there will be the usual Travel Lodges etc Get it booked. This year you can pay an extra £50 to have a load a telemetry equipment fitted and an in-car camera fitted to produce a DVD to take home

That will be a big factor to be fair. When I was there before I was soooo scared about crashing and will be this time too. But I will also be miles more confident in the G's 4wd system.

Should of pulled your finger out and bought Letank's DC zorst. That was a £900+ zorst for £425. Absolute steal

knowing how much quicker you took that corner off the A444 to lead down to Sarah's, i would say yes you can do it. The G sticks to the road so much more than the zed so i would expect you to reach that time. If not, you are no longer the site stig Coincidently the stig was 6 seconds faster in the G than the 350Z, maybe the added power and 4wd will mean that I could possibly better 1:33?

Right boys and girls, I've booked in to do this again on 14th of Jan. Was just wondering what sort of target I should be setting myself. Last time, Graham at Plans, said that I would of done very well to be within 10% of the stig's time in a 350Z being that it was my first time on a track. Being with 10% of the stig's time was 1:40 and I managed 1:39.2 The stig's time in the G was 1:25 so to be with 10% of that I'd have to do 1:33.5 or less. So, the question is, can I be 6 seconds quicker in the G than the 350Z assuming the same conditions? Sounds a lot to me. To get round in 1:33 would be quicker than the stig went round in an SL55 AMG

+1 ........ £400 seems a lot for self adhesive plastic film Costs a lot more than that for a full front end coverage.. how much more ?? Isn't it more like £700-£800? I would like my car to have it but would only get it done either from new or after a respray, and would only bother getting a respray if I was gonna get paintshield straight after. Which means in my eyes a respray is gonna cost £1000+ for the respray and paintshield. I'd rather just knock a bit off the sale price when I sell up. I agree. That must be a first I would of had it done if I had had it from new too. My paint is miles more durable than the zeds though and IIRC there are only a couple of teeny weeny marks in the paint

whilst in a tunnel! I do that every time through the tunnels in birmingham city centre. Slow right down to about 20mph and then floor it!! Its sounds like no other sound in the world. I miss my car May be getting it back tomorrow though

Don't know wot i'm wearing yet, clearly not as organized as Sarah! wanted to wear me Little Miss Santa outfit but i don't think the restaurant would let me in (might have to do a quick superman change after dinner) Their website says smart casual, take it non of the guys were planning on wearing trainers, doubt the clubs would let u in. Sarnie would no best i suppose! Maybe. The buttons in japanese wouldn't bother me as long as I could work out what they do, which shouldn't be too hard. The radio wouldn't bother me as I never ever listen to the radio. The Satnav would be the obvious money pit. Again these only become issues to me in correlation to the price. Anything close to or above £50k and I ain't interested. At or below £45k then maybe, but I think the demand will keep prices above £50k for a while yet.
