  1. Yeah there is also this to try instead of Autosol Tim? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=8065454438&rd=1&rd=1 Is it safe to use Autosol every now and again on Chrome Rims?
  2. Mark, the easiest ones first....... P2 service without oil (supply your own as will be better stuff and cheaper to boot) should be around £140! Let me guess, is your dealer Westway or something? I found that when ringing around, that they have a set price..... but I rang around multiple dealers and got it down to £130-140 with my own oil. You are right in as fact that the service interval is every 9000. You car was effectively serviced early in mileage terms, due to its low mileage so it was serviced on the once a year route. But you have now done over 9000 miles since the last service. A decent manufacturer would give you some leeway, but I would say that it needs a service NOW as its done over 9000! By waiting for the June date to fall in line with the year is rubbish as you are invalidating your warranty as you've gone over 9000. My take is its mileage first (every 9k) then once a year if you are lucky enough to do low mileage... Hope that helps,
  3. Guys, Does or has anyone used the Poorboys products? I'm looking at some new wheel cleaner and protector for the new wheels which have a diamond chrome lip. I've been using the Meguairs Hot Wheels cleaner up till now on the Rays and it goes so quick! and just started using this Rimwax to try to protect. But was after something a bit better...... Rimwax: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250073125132&rd=1&rd=1 Been looking into it a little and was wondering about this stuff: Cleaner: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250098134919&rd=1&rd=1 and Sealant: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290101700871&rd=1&rd=1 Any comments please before I try?
  4. So its not the same class as House of Flying Daggers etc?
  5. Maybe the plane crashed Is that the one in Lost...... The plane was soooooo heavy with Sarnies wheels that the tail fell off in the middle of the south pacific?
  6. Welcome to place where you will end up spending more time than you should getting encouraged to spend money on your new baby!
  7. Lets delete this thread...... and any such thread that Sarnie trys to post about new wheels....... this is like Eastenders.... sooooooo boring!
  8. Again, you can't just say an offset and whether it will look good. Needs to be taken in conjunction with the size of the wheel (width) and design.....
  9. Guys, I don't want to miff you off anymore, but just wanted to say..... don't give up! I've just got my brand new Rays, full set replaced yesterday. I took them in about 2 weeks ago, the dealer took photos, I explained the situation and that I knew what to expect from Nissan about fob offs etc and that I would be pursueing all the way...... Anyway, the photos were accepted by Nissan from the dealer, then they got the go ahead to order new wheels on the system within a few days. Wheels went in on Monday evening and tyres swapped over to new ones Tuesday and balanced. I got no pain or come back what so ever, was expecting the same about me using acidic products blah, blah...... the bottom line is that the wheels are not fit for purpose for UK roads if they do this. I know I got a major result and was very lucky as end to end was replaced within 2 weeks (and that included ordering of wheels). The bottom line (I think) is that it depends how "customer focused" your dealer is. I was told by mine that they don't get any money out of doing this work, they just get base rate to cover their costs on labour etc..... so in some cases, it could be that the dealers are not exactly pushing it through....... I'd suggest trying another one if you get no joy...... suppose it helps that my car has been serviced there. Might not be so easy otherwise..... PM me for anymore details etc..... not sure I can help more, but will try.
  10. What did you go for in the end? Yeah come on, spill the beans! What sizes...... I'm assuming you went for the same wheels?

  14. this better? Complete with loads of squished flies from yesterdays run Yeah much better. It is a Grilltech front. Just fits in front of the standard fins. I've got one on mine, but its black..... now starting to look a little grubby so time for respray soon!
  15. If no joy, then try Holdcroft Nissan and MR F (both traders on here) they may be able to do you a deal. And you get discounts.....
  16. Works for me...... as long as we have a laugh, good beer and get to look at the sights of Manchester I'm happy!

    Rays Centre Caps

Not sure anyone will have spares Tim, as they only come with 4 if at all (I think)..... You could order some from Envy, Funkstyling or plenty of places in the states. I'd do the latter due to the double dollar at the mo! Yeah - I was hoping someone may have replaced theirs with the 'Z' logo ones and may want to sell the originals to me cheap! Probably a tall order though. AH ok, sorry I misunderstood you..... you mean the centre caps for the UK spec Rays that you could get as a option! Thought you meant Rays wheels other than those, such as other models, Volks etc...... Well you may have a slight chance Courtesynissan in the states may do them then.....

  19. Yeah I use this all the time to clean my wheels, good but you do go through it quickly!
  20. Not sure if i want loads of drink before a curry. Let you guys decide what we do........you know Manchester Curry has to be late a night post lots of beer, thats the northern way! If you have big curry beforehand then you won't wanna drink loads as you feel stuffed! Suggest something good and substantial, pizza's always good etc then a shed load of beer, then you always got China Town or Curry at end of the night!
  21. I can't see the grill on those pics, wonder if its this crappy work monitor. Can you post a close up? What is it, a Grilltech type like mine etc?
  22. ok I'm a little confused on this...... Whats the difference between these and the standard PIAA blades? Just that I thought the PIAA blades were curved to fit the screen better? And the pic of these "flat" blades looks very curved to me!
  23. Do they? What in the UK? Never knew or seen that!
