  1. Gutted for you mate.

I've experienced time wasters in the past and what with the care you need to take dealing privately (unless you know them or they have been vouched for) is the reason I now only sell to a garage (usually the one I'm buying the next car from or the dealership I bought from who know/can see how I look after my cars).

Yes, you take a hit on value but better the peace of mind you are getting and potentially stung for a whole lot more and hassle sorting it out (if you can) but there is also no messing about getting the timing right to suit the pick-up of your next set of wheels.

Hope you make the sale soon and can move on

  2. Sorry guys, guess I was a bit lacking with the detail.

It is on a 54 plate, with GT pack in blue. 2 previous owners FSH (some not with Nissan), 20,000 miles. Will try and get link up to website.

19k is too much IMO - take a look on this site for cars being sold (or recently) for comparison and check out the Pistonheads web-site. Having just canvassed opinion on here and received confirmation about the value of having a full Nissan service history, the fact the one you are looking at has not got it might mean any warranty claims (which I presume it is a UK supplied car and the warranty will then run out at the end of Feb 2008) may not be accepted.

  3. :welcome: At that money it sounds like a 2005 car (if UK)? IMO if you can afford one that is still under warranty and it has been serviced as scheduled then if you do find probs you should be able to get them sorted.

A friend of mine had an early RS Focus a while back - he said he hated it after his Audi TT that he reckoned that was a whole lot better so you should find the ZED will give you a whole load more :teeth: s :teeth:s :teeth:s for your ££££££s.

  4. Happy Birthday, :wheelchair: the next 22 years are the best and I know.

No. it's the next 26, and I know! :wheelchair:

Congratulations anyway and many happy returns.

    Any advance on 26 :D

No, but close at 2/3 rds my age with the BIG 60 :wheelchair: next March so what you moaning about Dan - at 40 you are only just a whippersnapper ....... :p

  5. Ones thing for sure, when you do get your car we won't see so many of your postings - you'll be out enjoying yourself too much :p and with the biggest :teeth: around.

Hope you saved for all the fuel you'll be using - but hey, you only live once so make the most of it

They changed some of the dials and centre console design a little bit. ;)

....and moved the hazard warning switch forwad of the gearlever; redesigned the cubby behind it; added the cargo net in the passenger footwell, added (illuminated) drink cup holders on each door; changed the former cup holder on the passenger side to a coin holder.

I see you don't have the cruise control on the steering wheel but that it has the brown matching leather on the bottom of it . My UK supplied steering wheel does not have the matching leather on the s/w (unlike yours and earlier versions of the Alezan fitted cars) although they are still on the handbrake and gear knob. Other bits as well - can't remember them all

I can also see the exterior is as 2006 UK spec with the LED rear lights and lip in the front bumper (the bit at the bottom of the grille). Can't see from your images if your headlights are the latest HD xenon's with the LEDs to the side B) but they are so much better at night than the earlier headlights - a ride down a country lane will 'reveal' all!

Interested to know how much did you paid for the car cos I reckon you got a great buy there?

  8. The worst i have had on my digital display is 3km per litre!!!

had mine for nearly a month now, love the car & it's performance but f**k me is it thirsty!!

average around 6.5km per litre :headhurt:

    Twice as bad then ;)

I had the double posting prob when I first started using the site - it was me hitting the internet 'back' button before the post appeared that got the double posts - if that helps you?

  9. Thanks for the responses so far guys

Thats extortionate for a P1. Thats P3 money!! What do they charge for a P3 out of interest???? :scare:

I didn't dare ask :scare: - Might have to come to you for a mortgage to cover it

Mab - you are a brave man "I had a P! service at Bishops Guildford for £160". I recall reading on here someone who here was driving home from a service there and the sump plug fell out with all the oil - put me off ever using them and useless when I wanted to get a 4-wheel alignment check with my previous ZED.

Thanks H5 for the Reading suggestion will give them a call.

Any thoughts on the merits of using a non-Nissan outfit - anyone found they took a bit hit on trade-in/sale value by not having a full Nissan serrvice history?

  10. OK - my 2006 ZED is soon needing its first service - ringing round it looks like Nissan dealers want between £250 - £325  .

Don't like the prices, nor the £300 road tax to pay at same time + breakdown renewal, but what is more important is that a quality job is done when it is in the garage (what little there is to do  ) and the car comes out without any probs.

Yes, I do value a Nissan dealer stamp in the service book as the biggest hit with any car is depreaciation and from past experiences I have got a better/easier trade-in deal when the time comes with a full dealer stamp history. But I am tempted to use the non-Nissan garage that supplied the car (who will only use genuine Nissan parts so that the warranty is protected) and who I know and trust.

Any suggestions/thoughts from owners in and around the Surrey area please?

  11. shouldnt the thread title have been " to all NEW 350Z uk owners"

that would have kept the existing riff raff out

but probably not............. if new members read this thread they will know this place is an asylum  and sell their cars - pronto :headhurt:

......especially when they see your avatar :p:lol:

  12. You got it Jim, i dunno...these non zed owners

If Sarnie gets removed at 10000 posts perhaps he will then buy another Zed that he's been hinting about so when he's done another 350 posts - (probably in the first week or two ;)) he's got a ZED to put his sticker on

hope he does - the site would not be the same without him

  13. I have two motors. One is my 350z which I mainly use for weekends and an old battered van which i run on vegoil and this is used during the week. The money i save during the week on veg oil offsets any petrol I use on the zed. Just a thought for anyone.

There you go Sarnie - must be OK for yours, as I seem to recall Mr Lamborghini was originally a veggie farmer! :p

  14. Interesting to see salaries might be higher in London, but that gets easily canceled out with the cost of living.

Exactly, you'll get a lot more for your money outside of the Cesspit/London :D

so f...ing true  - I'm getting very tempted to move to Scotland with all the kudos on offer there compared to south of the border and house prices about half where I live. Pocket that half and retire!!
