  1. www.wheelrefurbishing.com Great reputation and used by many main dealers and other car clubs (Not in Reading but will collect if needs be and can do some work on Saturdays while u wait).
  2. No, just Shires with his mods is slower
  3. Firstly, when the aircon is on make sure you do NOT have the recirc on - it keeps the moisture in the cabin and doesn't get rid of it. You need air from the outside to replace the moist air with clean air. Secondly, make sure the drainage tube from the aircon is not blocked. If the unit cannot get rid of the fluid it creates from removing it from the air, it recirculates it regardless of the setting. Finally, check you don't have a leak somewhere in the boot. Generally I would leave the A/C on all the time, on auto and simply move the temperature gauge as you need to.
  4. The Fiesta couldn't get out of the road this morning but the Volvo just drove out fine. Fiesta has Pirelli P Zero Neros on (supposedly a top tyre) and the Toyos are on the Volvo - been fine all through this. Not even tried the Zed though!
  5. You're right Chris, I meant mine is faster with me driving it. Were you referring to something about granny shifting?? All good fun. Also proves my simple engine mods help too.....
  6. Either that or a small drain on the battery as well. Mine is in the garage on a trickle charger.....
  7. Overall diameter of the wheels is still the same tho.... Mine's just faster, deal with it! Fingers crossed the weather will be better than last year so it won't matter.....
  8. I thought in the snow they added pressure on narrower wheels so the tread cut through the snow / ice??

Yeah, not entirely sure, but thought since they all came from the same place there was a fair chance all would have the same system.
  10. Looking forward to the spin dry drive back from Mikes to the hotel. Quite good at blowing the cobwebs away eh Shire.....
  11. For putting your name on the list you div!
  12. Yep, and we'll ban the person who adds themselves 11 under my new invented 'Darwin Ban Reasoning Rule'!
  13. Nice kit Rob, just a royal PITA to set up and get the most out of them.....
  14. I've not forgot Rob. Maybe we can come up with something for the run I was referring to James but now I do remember getting somewhat lost!!
  15. Nice to hear. Get yourself to some meets!

  17. probably becuse it easy to write , fit dash back in just clips there than actually wedge all the wired back and line it up etc etc! If only! viewtopic.php?f=27&t=13074
  18. I remember doing that. And looking back at it and thinking - I'm sure it felt like more work than that!

UK cars (and imports I believe) have the NATS system with is Thatcham cat 1-2 (alarm and immobiliser) as I understand it. It is standard fit and actually pretty good. Some also have tracker type systems but only you will know that
  21. Welcome to the club! Take this lot with a pinch of salt, the snow has got everyone bored and excitable!
  22. Nice one, should be a nicely matched system. Good luck with the install!!
  23. those seem okay, my set up will be: Head Unit: Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD link: http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25 ... index.html amp: Alpine MRP-F600 link: http://www.online-caraudio.co.uk/shop/a ... 29642.html Subs: 2x JL 8W1v2-4 (just for some extra thump...grown out of loads of bass!) link: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs ... ries_id=28 Thanks. My advice would be:- Rainbow or JL VR speakers for that budget will sound best (make sure you have budget for speaker cable and sound deadening - a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link... ) Head unit - not bad, would go Alpine if you can get the spec you want. The sound quality is streets ahead. Amp - Again, not bad but would go JL e Series or similar if possible. The way they deliver the power offers a lot more control over the speaker, and therefore better sound. Subs - Agree with the sentiment. JL 8's can drop low as well. Also conssider a single 10". A Focal one will also do quality to a high standard too.
  24. Just driven from Coventry to Wokingham - apart from the outside lane of the M40 being snow covered it was fine, until the last 3 miles. They had shut the A329M from Bracknell to the M4 to pull a lorry out of the verge and ALL the traffic was going through the town centre. So off I went to the back roads...... Was quite fun until I came across someone coming the other way doing the same! Stopped playing after that, nursed it home with it getting worse every 1/2 mile until the 2 feet of snow in my road made it quite difficult!!!
  25. Don't worry mate, by the time the snow and salt and cold have eaten your Nismos, you can look for some nice new shiny wheels for the show season!! Mine is in the garage. Not perfect, but clean and dry.....
