I think this is the same as Chesterfield's exhaust? Looks
-
There are actually two shades of Gunmetal on the same paint code - an 'L' and a 'D' (IIRC). Light and dark in other words. Mine is light, some are dark. I went for the White Diamond on that basis. Black hole itself is actually dark itself and I didn't want to put that on and risk it bleeding into any of the layers (not that I know the exact chemical workings of it!).
Have been recommended a new top coat for it so will be trying that out when I get the time!

Nice finish - I love the Poorboys glaze, amazing product IMO
-
cheers
gettin an install on my new one and always good to look for inspiration or to make sure i am not copying too much
It was a very much stealth effort this time around! There are some very clever bits to it though
Blacky, re: the better sound from the Kenwood, they have often done that with out of box settings that enhance the 'nice' frequencies, whereas Alpine is set flat and does take a bit more setting up. I spent 3 years on my last show car and never settled on a setting!

I did, yes - viewtopic.php?f=27&t=13074&hilit=install
Been a little while since it was done now, still does the business though!
-
Not on the list and as referred to - Performance Friction. Cost a little more but worth it IMO.
-
Nice work

The Alpine stuff will be better quality, but you get what you pay for. You are more likely to keep the Alpine when you sell the car and the Kenwood will hold any value a bit less. Can you get to anywhere and play with them both to see if it is worth the extra?

Very nice Jed
Reminds me of Madmarkys Veilside Zed before it became orange.
Nice rules for passengers, lol
idd BM its reminds me of mine also
Nice job tho Jed the paintwork looks great as some have said get some 20's to finish the agressive look
I did love that colour Marky.
I like the Purple on Jed's, personally would have done the whole car in it but I can see where you're going with the styling. I think that if the back drop was the lit streets of Tokyo some comments may have been a bit more positive - it's definitely a 'street' car.

Liking that. The right mix of black and orange contrast
Cheers bud.......... It has taken me a while to find the right balance of the two colours. I was tempted to go with a gloss black bonnet but just think it may be overkill
Good decision
+1 - gloss black would put it in the same taste class as 'Oil Billionaire Crown Prince' which is only higher than 'Country Chav With Halfords Gift Card'.

Thanks for those, some tasty looking stuff there!

Hey matey..... thought you should know, but there's a Vauxhall on your drive way.....
-
Surprised no-one has asked if you'll be doing this as a £500 standard upgrade once you've learnt it all
Very impressed so far, hope to see it in the flesh when it is done!

Would love to get an Evora on track, am envious, enjoy it!

Got me a Galaxy Tab and have to say it is blimin great bit of kit. Ripped all of my music out of iTunes on the PC, very strong apps through the Android Market and you don't get all the Apple restrictions!

Skoda Fabia VRS
Volvo V50 / S40 D5
Mercedes 320 CDI's
All can be remapped..... But by the time you've tuned a turbo'd oil burner to such an extent that it's petrol quick, the efficiency gain is pretty much gone!

Hey guys,
could tell me where did you source the V2s from please? What are the prices like?
Much appreciated,
aus
Not sure you can get the genuine one anymore, but looking at almost 4 figures if you can find a new one....

Sorry to hear this Lexx, good news the repair bill seems reasonable though!!

Locked as requested.

Ive still got the last four but my list is as follows from memory:
Astra 1.2 Merit - ended badly with a tree
Escort MK3 1.4
Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2
MG Maestro vanden plas
MK3 Orion 1.6
MK IV Escort 1.4 - stolen
Fiat Tipo DGT
MK IV Golf TDI
350Z Convertible
350Z GT4 coupe
Seat Altea FR TDI
Jaguar XF S
Ferrari F430
New rule - anyone who drives a Ferrari must plot a career path out for me that involves making copious amounts of money and doesn't involve checking this forum 400 times a day to relieve the soul drilling monotony of working for a failed financial institution that hasn't quite died yet.
2010 Volvo V50 D2 R-Design - black (family lugger, still got)
2004 Nissan 350Z GT Coupe - gunmetal (fun / show car, still got)
1994 Volvo 440 2.0 GLT - red (old daily beater, great fun against the German hatch lads, scrapped)
2006 Ford Fiesta ST - blue (Mrs car, now the runner while she uses the Volvo! aka The Hooligan)
1995 Volvo 440 1.8 SE - green (beater before the red one above)
Before all that there's a Volvo that was a trophy winning sound off car, a Lotus Elise that was just huge fun and a bunch of either brand new or very old Volvo's due to family deals. Only exceptions were a Ltd Edition Focus that was a great car and a Citroen Saxo that the Mrs had. The door weld physically snapped off the body of the car, which was interesting and gave me my disdain for French cars!!

I have some very fond memories of that car, specifically shouting at Muddy, forward and inch, right a bit, back an inch. ........

I think I followed you the other day from the council offices roundabout - I was in the Volvo though
I live in Wokingham too. There is a GM Zed that I have seen at Sandmartins golf club recently too.....
