I've just spoken to the dealer in sunny Slough and they're going to take a look on Friday.

However, they're claiming to know nothing about the tyre feathering issue that has been posted as a sticky? Is there any reference I can make to get this covered?

Finally (sorry, I'm new to this thing!) the gearbox seems to make a noise just generally. Like to sort of noise you'd hear if you walked past a factory and could hear the churning of the machinery in the background? Characteristic or lacking something??

That's what I'm worried about. Took it out for a drive and all seemed ok, did all the checks I could think of.

It's been known but I've been doing quite the opposite!! Taking it nice and steady and behaving myself and treating her well. I'm only just into my 4th hour of Zed ownership so am still learning how to change gear.

Erm, yep!! Both lights come on together. All seems to drive OK, I'm just not sure what the thing is telling me!

Yeah, it's a UK car and still in the warranty period. Is the light thing an electrical fault or the system actually playing up?? Mainly so I know whether to take extra car if it's turning itself off!!

I've read the sticky re: feathering and just wondering if the Nissan support / replacement applies to secondhand cars?? I've just picked up my 2004 GT from private seller and need this looking at.

Also, (I've read before but can't find the thread ) I'm getting the traction control light and ESP off lights coming on at the same time after some time driving. Switching the ignition off and then restarting seems to turn them off, is this a concern??

Am going to see it tomorrow after work..........

After my message saying mine is on it's way, there's been delays ever since! There was a scuff on the front bumper (high kerb the culprit apparently) and the owner kindly put it in to have it repaired. When the repair was started they found there was a slight crack in it so the current owner has bought a new bumper (in the process breaking the washer jets that are apparently £248 each from Nissan! )

What I need to know is, is there anything I should be checking for when I go and inspect the car? Weak points, common bodges etc? Last thing I want is a repair bill when things may have been missed.

I've got 19x9 +25 and 19x10.5 +29. Both pretty much fill the arch. I suggest you look at what's available in the wheel you want. I've got loads of pictures of different offsets, all mainly Volk and Work wheels, but I should be able to find something close to the offset you are considering.

Thanks, I'll see what information I can get on the wheels and then may look to see what you've got. As long as they fill the arch but don't make it look like an SUV I'm happy!

Only trouble seems to be finding any split rim ones left anywhere......!

Hi, have left a deposit on a Gun Metal GT with Alezan and a few other little extras. Been reading this site for a while and finally have one coming!

Should be with me in a week or so.

One question - I've had a look on the site (apologies if I've missed it) - what width wheels fit (19" preferably) front and rear?

Next step (after getting it!), building the install.......!
