  1. It's more suspension/track arm/ball end related. Anyone got any other ideas or had similar issues? Car has only covered 35,000
  2. Anyone suffered from a knocking noise coming from the front end when on rough roads or when dropping over speed humps? I suspect the drop links, but there is nothing loose or moving when we had the car up on the ramps. Could it be anything else? Cheers, Trog
  3. Any ideas why my front drivers side RE040 is wearing badly on the outside? I would initially assume that the camber needs adjusting in slightly, but I didn't think the camber was adjustable on the front of the 350Z? Maybe it's negative toe out on that side? I'm thinking of getting Falken 452 and a full alignment anyway, but not sure wat can really be adjusted on the Z other than toe?
  4. That's a fair point But seriously, you must have been within about 10 seats of us. Good day out anyway
  5. The Minel, I must have been sat just behind you in the same stand (looking at your pics of the broken down RJN 350Z - very similar angle to mine). Do you wear a pair of Gold Oakleys (and had your missus with you)?
  6. I can't seem to find any difference between a P2 and a P3 on a 350Z, so how do they justify the difference in cost!??? I'm near Birmingham/Coventry/Leicestershire area. Exactly, and I'm fine with that, but people who don't understand what's involved, like to see official Nissan stamps in the book, so if it helps the sale when I come to sell, then I suppose it might be worth swollowing my pride! However, if you know of any good Jap specialist garages that would do my P3 (oil + Brake fluid!) service, in the MIDLANDS, let me know whereabouts are you situated in the Midlands , I know a few I would trust

  8. Cheers - I'm going to ring around to try and better that price, but I might bite my tongue this time!, just to get a P3 stamp in the book for re-sale. But the next P1 (just an oil change really), I think i'll defo do myself.
  9. Hope you all took the e/w McKelvey tip. Came in second by a head - would have been a whole lot richer if it had of won (needed 10 more yrds)
  10. I still get peeved at the cost of dealer servicing (knowing what's actually involved) . - even though Nissan are supposedly cheaper than most. I took my car to my cheapest local dealer for a P1 last June and they robbed me £135 (I provided my own oil). I now need a P3 and all that's really extra for me in the P3 over and above a P1 are a couple more checks and the brake fluid change (of which i'm supplying my own, so only labour), and they want £220 from me!!!! So to sum up, that's £85 labour to change the brake fluid and tick 5 boxes to say they've checked emissions and the coolant is ok etc.. gggrrrrr - It aggrevates me when I know I could do it all myself, but I don't get the stamp. Thinking whether I should just take oil and fluid to my local garage and they'll do it and stamp the book (not a Nissan stamp) for about £40. It's now out of Warranty so no effect for Nissan, just re-sale issues?? Would you be bothered, if the stamp wasn't Nissan? Basically, nothing will be wrong with a 3.5yr old car so i'm paying £220 for some monkey to change my own oil, my own brake fluid and get a free cup of Cofee- thats what it comes down to!!!!!!! - I can think of better ways to spend the cash. Sorry RANT over, but it's true
  11. The following are worth a place bet: - Joes Edge Naunton Brook McKelvey
  12. Rear Tail gate should follow the line that the body already takes under the light units. I'm not keen on the back end from a side profile and it should slope away more (ala Porsche). I know it would limit the boot space, but it is a sports cars after all.
  13. Saw then 2yrs ago at Manchester Carling Academy - They were amazing then and we're planning to see them again soon. Maxi Jazz Rocks
  14. Stupid question, but pm me if you have any that you don't want anymore, or are thinking of selling cra and taking off?
  15. The Stillen is good (I have this). It's Like the popcharger/K&N, but has a nice encolsure (keeps a more stock look and heat away, although still adds noise )
  16. That cop nealy looses it on the bike (ready to flip him)
  17. Good luck matey - I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about after 10yrs. I'm in a similar predicament (8yrs), but not sure about another country. I'm absolutely fine with it, but she might want something in this country with family and friends. (personally, i'd like to keep it low key - after all, we're pretty much married anyway!) Is it just you two, or are you taking any close family out for the cermony? Maybe a bash when you get back?
  18. Very good I need some lessons!

    P3 Service

I was also thinking of getting an indedendent to do it, but I need to find someone I trust that knows the car (ideally) - any reccomendations? I'll probably go for P3 then. I think it's brake fluid as well (not sure when it was last changed and certainly not in last 18,000miles. If so, is the ATE Super Blue stuff any good? and how much does it take (sorry for the questions, just being lazy!).
  21. Anybody know of any good indipendent garages in the midlands area where I can get a P3 equivalent service done for my 350Z (i'd try and supply a lot of the parts) . As it's now out of Warranty, I don't really fancy paying Stealer prices, but still want some from of stamp in the book.

    P3 Service

The P3 service is supposed to be 4yrs or 36,000 miles. However, through the various owners, my car has had a mixture of mileage/yearly services: - P1 - 3000 (1yr old) P2 - 12,000 (1yr 7month old) P1 - 21,000 (2yrs 7months old - in June 06) Car now coming up to 30,000 (and is 3yrs 2month old) - so P3 or P2 next ? I'm guessing P3, although it seems a little premature? and I usually just go on Milleage. It's the first guy that screwed it up, only doing 3K in a year!! why buy the car Any Advice? + Rough costs for P3 (supplying own oil). Cheers
  23. Should have replied to this earlier. It turned out to be two fuses!, but the initial symptoms and check did not point to a fuse (only partially blew to start with hence still read 12V with a meter on both sides of fuse). P.S. Nissan don't actuall show u everthing that goes thorugh a particular fuse (i.e. interior light fuse, is not just the interior light, but nowhere does it tell u otherwise!)
  24. Very nice - aleady ordered mine. Hopefully arrive in time to for Xmas, to stop folks pressies moving about on my Journey down.
  25. Very amusing LOL Do you know how to create many faces, as it's seems to always overite the same userid, each time I create a new one. I guess it only allows one per server address?
