    Sleeper?

M3 with chrome rims - very stealth!
  2. £10k on the PH ad. If I had the time to go to London and see this I'd probably have it...

    Sleeper?

A car which doesn't give too many clues externally to the fact that its fast as f@ck. The old Senators which were mentioned above are a good example. Or a debadged BMW 540i. Or a Mazda 3 MPS. Looked at another way, my missus would say an R32 was just another Golf but a Civic Type R is obviously a hot hatch even to her untrained eye.

    Sleeper?

These babies scream "key me, key me" to the local scallies. Quattro's a great idea but Q-car???
  5. Ah, sweet! Silly money though...

    Sleeper?

This is a good call but the 4th gen Golf's don't really handle I believe and most seem to come with some of the worst wood inserts on the dash that I've seen for a while. I fancy an R32 as they're going for a song now, are almost as fast as the Zed and have a classy, low key image without being a default Bee Emm/Audi/Merc. But may still be a bit ostentatious for our street and insurance is pretty heavy.

    Sleeper?

Interesting ideas but not quite the image I'm after and a bit old.

    Sleeper?

Don't like the DC2s or last gen Civics - but love DC5s and current gen Civics! Hey, that's just me. Thought about a 182 but would prefer a 197 (with Cup chassis in white). A mate has the Skoda and its great but Mrs Digsy won't get over the badge.

    Sleeper?

OK, one of my possible scenarios is to run a sleeper for a little while. The problem I have is that the Liverpool suburbs are not a great place to leave a fancy motor on the street. I used to keep the Zed in the yard but it took up about half of my outdoor space and when the dog came I had to have a rethink. Sticking it in a garage a few miles away was OK but I couldn't "pop out for a drive" when the mood took me like I could before and the Zed just sat there for weeks on end. So, Im thinking what could I run and leave on the street which to the casual observer is nothing special (and therefore shouldn't attract scroats or nutjobs with baseball bats who knock down the front door in the night) but would still be a bit of fun to drive. A Q-car I suppose. It would have to be under 10k secondhand or new so that I could lease it. Any ideas?
  10. Just wanted to add my best wishes to Phil for a speedy recovery.
  11. Adam @ Z1 may be able to get you a DC. Send him a PM.
  12. I have to admit the Cobra was a bit tongue in cheek as I'd only spotted it 2 mins before posting. Nice idea but probaly not a goer. And Liam, yes I do plan to get a colour next time. But I can assure you it won't be custard.
  13. Oh, I don't know - you haven't seen my driving!
  14. You mean dish? Yes. Sorry, not down with me lingo, man!
  15. If I switched to Freesat can I use my existing Sky aerial?
  16. plateau maybe, increase - doubtful +1
  17. I quite fancy one but the prices are still a couple of grand more than the coupes and there are less about. I'm keeping my eyes peeled though.
  18. How about this? http://www.amarisupercars.com/car.php?car=810
  19. Not a year but I handed her back early because I simply wasn't using her. I'm going to try and sit out the winter sharing Kat's CRV and get something in the spring. If I can afford a Zed then it may well be another but it might just be time for a change. Problem is, I'm a car guy and I'm itching to get somthing else straight away....
  20. ...and I'm now officially Zedless. The nasty bloke from the leasing company too her away this morning. She looked great as she drove away in the sunshine. I'm sad now.
  21. Hi and welcome, Nathan! Nice Zed but the first thing I'd do is uprate the brake pads. Greenstuff are suitable for cars up to 200 bhp and aren't good enough for the Zed. You could upgrade to Redstuff which many have been happy with for about £100 IIRC but there are other choices if your pockets are deeper. Never scrimp on brakes.
