  1. That was me. Young Steve at Sparkle Car Care had given it a damn good clean on Saturday - otherwise it would still be looking like my avatar. Didn't see you until the last moment but just managed a wave!!
  2. How long did it last David??? About six months IIRC. I'll try and check over the w/e and let you know.
  3. Mine were fixed first time by Bishops in Guildford ................................................and second time as well. Seems it could be a recurrent problem.
  4. I did come round and take pics of yours It's a known issue with NMGB and at dealer level - depending on your dealer of course. You need to insist that your wheels are replaced and NOT refurbished. These wheels should not look like that after 18months.
  5. Don't you start. Anyway, it was John's fault.
  6. It was good to meet up with some of the guys from this forum for a relaxing drive and a really good lunch. My pics are the same as Pingu's.
  7. [quote name="sl114"Thats perfect' date=' lets say northbound as we will be heading that way after. See you there at 11.15am
  8. Could I ask why you had new wheels fitted ? I'm having issues with the paint on my wheels. Ian. Hi Ian, If your wheels are bubbling like this the you should get them replaced under warranty, best to take photos of your calipers before the work is done as they are easily chipped when the wheels come off.
  9. There's not masses of parking at BP on the A3, might be better to meet in the B&Q carpark at Ladymead. http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=499509&y=150839&z=1&sv=ladymead&st=6&tl=Ladymead,+Guildford,+Surrey,+GU1&searchp=newsearch.srf&mapp=newmap.srf Perfect for a showy cruise through Guildford as well.
  10. Everyone is so full of doom and gloom about this. Why shouldn't it happen? If you look back through this thread you will see that the last real info was that Duxford had been approached and that we were aiming for May '07 for a joint meet. Sorry to see that it hasn't been updated since then but that doesn't mean it can't/won't happen. We, the forum users can push it along and it's a lot more likely to happen if we all stay positive about it. This would be a fantastic meet and I can't see why anyone from either forum would be against it. Just my 2p.
  11. I didn't think your posts were offensive in the slightest but I did disagree with your interpretation of Clarkson's comment. On the above - rubbish.
  12. Interesting calculation Stevie. Down South in Surrey where I come from, 10% of 730 is 73. BTW I've done one of Colin's courses and it's worth the non discounted price anyway. Much better investment than new wheels. Not a dig at anyone - the best investment for most folks is in themselves and their own driving skills.
  13. This is from Wiki :- "Widespread issues with engines consuming their own oil at abnormal rates, more significantly in the 2006 "RevUp" edition of the VQ35 engine. Nissan currently is replacing engines that are brought in and found to consume 1 or more litres per 1000 miles, but has not issued a recall as of October 2006."
  14. But it's completely the wrong shape for the coupe! Am I being stupid?
  15. You may well be right, but no one has bid on it and there may yet be a reserve price. I wouldn't bid on it as the seller has no feedback like you say.
  16. Someome could offer to go and see it? The £800 is a starting price - not a purchase price. It might be OK.
  17. Awwww but it's for charity fellas. They started with 100 pink ones and when they sold out they built another 175. http://www.breakthrough.org.uk/you_can_help/companies_and_employees/our_partners/nissan.html There was one at my local dealers a few weeks ago, I looked and was very nearly blinded. It's not a colour I could live with - even if it was free.
