  3. If you take the T pipes off the wipers, do you still get water out of them?

When I refurbed my wipers the jets packed up, turns out they were full of crud so I spent a whole afternoon (really!) Pumping hit water through them with a syringe, blowing them through with compressed air and digging crud out with a stripped down paperclip :#1:

    Worked perfectly after that

  4. Reluctantly I offer my 350z in Silver for sale with 77,768 miles on the clock.

This is a 2006 rev up model - GT spec.

New home / family commitments are the reason for sale.

I purchased the car with approx. 68K on the clock and covered less than 10K in 2 years.

I've not had a chance to give it a spring clean yet so please excuse the grubby floor mats in the pictures.

  5. thanks for the advice. Yes I've a rev-up so its external. Can you get to the slave without jacking the car up?

I've got a replacement slave kit I purchased from Tarmac when they had an offer on but didn't want to swap the slave until I did the clutch and flywheel.

WD40 good enough to grease it?

  6. Hi, hoping someone can advise on the below...

Always seems to be something wrong at the moment.

My clutch pedal when lifting off makes a loud squeak which is audible outside of the car.

Clutch seems to be operating ok but it also makes a clunky noise but pretty sure it's been there since I bought the car.

    Short video below.

    What do you reckon?

    Thanks

    Mike

  7. @Dicky did you ever get to the bottom of this? My house is on a steep-ish hill with little manoeuvre room so it can be a pain to reverse park

Past two times there's been a weird smell, drives ok though but the clutch pedal has become a little spongy / noisy when it's being operated etc

Thought I had a cast iron pension with my current employer of 7 years, nice final salary pension I pay 21.5% of my wage into so I could retire at a 60+ age rather than 70+ I expect it to become (i am 35), Sadly this year its all been shattered, must have been made from British steel (previous employer and that pension went belly up, but has floated to the surface hopefully without going into PPF).

So Now I am looking at a new pension with my employer who I couldn't trust for @*&% with my money. Do I take the £4K cash in hand softner and invest/spunk however I want or trust them with £8K ( incentive to put money into the pension without tax hit.)

For me its premium bonds and fingers crossed.

Most of the younger folk I work with just don't realise how much money they will need when they retire to be comfortable. Happy to pay minimum into pensions.

As stated its tax efficient to pay more into them, but as long as I keep it under the tax threshold at the other side, I will be happy + no major outgoings.

Sadly I get envious of my parents who have pensions close to their incomes after tax when they were employed.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Big money, big money, 1 mil PB. lol. Odds also look surprisingly good once you have decent money in.

My dad had a final salary pension with British steel, luckily he got out before it went tits up but a lot of his pals got totally shafted.

  9. This reminds me that I need to look into consolidating all my small pots from various jobs I've worked before. Have a few public sector pension pots, each with a few years contribution and a few private pots but recently as my employer has been quite generous with pay rises recently I've whacked up the % I pay coupled with a salary sacrifice scheme to try and give me the best possible chance at an earlier retirement
