I can't resist tittting about so I've now changed the badges to black and painted the strut brace Orange. Soon be time for a wheel refurb to a nice metallic grey.

Same as docwra said really just go and enjoy your first lap before caneing it, a bit of "Driving Miss Daisy" is good. Move to the right to let cars past, and just smile when the GT3's come past like you were stood still. If you fancy a nice meal sat in the sun in Adenau try sitting outside the Hotel Blaue Ecke, burgers and beer is good.

Just thought I'd pass this offer on. I've just found that Costco have a Michelin tyre offer on at the moment (£20 per tyre) so I've just ordered me a set, saving £80 for the set. Only trouble is the offer is only on for another four days until Jan 20th. Hope this helps somebody else save a few quid

Also spent the day taking the front bumper off to change the weeping steering cooler for another one and new rubber pipes.

Bought a roof spoiler now off Tarmac Sportz. It came as a nice gloss black but decided to colour match it to the Zed, so a couple of nights tinkering in the garage and hey presto.

My mate has a 911 - 996s and he was surprised when his insurance came in at less than his Scooby WRX. As to the Zed I got mine through Hastings for £263 for the year.

Sounds good and going over speed humps is always a bonus.

I've had my Zed about a month now and it's amazing. It's the first 'sports' car I've had for years as I've always had family cars then 4x4 family cars. The kids have grown up and got their own kids so it's time for me time. I'm not interested in doing the mahoosive spoilers, the suspension drops, the turbo or Bunny body kits, I've done all these things in the past so I'm just going to do subtle changes and use the Zed for weekends and our yearly Nurburg / Europe trips. So far I've done some of the 'must do jobs' like change the diff oil, the gearbox oil and engine oil. I've fitted new back brake pads and changed the spark plugs ( that was a nice 1 1/2 hours ) and fitted new tailgate lifters. Then as the air filter was really dirty I thought I might as well fit a Mishimoto induction kit, yes I know I probably won't gain anything but it does sound well. Next I went for 'filling' the arches so have fitted 20mm spacers to the front and 25mm to the rear. Some will say do the job properly and change the wheels but I lurve these Rays and will get them refurbished and colour changed in the spring. The Zed came with no rear wiper just a black rubber bung so I bought some stainless wiper delete blanks off Ebay and painted them Sunset Orange, it does look a lot better, not as good as welding and respraying but looks good. See what I dream up next

Welcome, I've just bought an Orange Zed and joined up too. Obviously we think i Sunset is the best colour.

That's me not the Zed . You'll have seen the for sale adds - "got kids need to sell", well I'm the opposite. The kids have grown up so went and bought this fab, 2003, 50,000 mile, orange Zed as a Sunday car. I wanted something reasonably fast for the weekends, fun to drive, naturally aspirated and good to look at, so here we are. I've had the Zed for a couple of weeks now, been cleaning and polishing like mad and am part way through changing engine oil, gearbox oil, diff oil, rear pads and also just fitted two new boot poppers, what a difference they've made. Already got her first trip booked to "The Ring" next May with the lads (our yearly outing) and the wife has already found the 'Jesus handle' on the passenger door when approaching impossible to drive round bends . Enjoying the smiles per mile so far and looking forward to many more.
