I imagine you will be paying a very high amount (close to value of the car). It would be worthwhile considering a multicar policy with a family member or being a second named driver to bring the price down. Unfortunately you are looking at a 3.5l V6 so it will inevitably be very high insurance costs either way.

Thanks. As a complete novice with car maintenance, it was good fun getting to know her. Hopefully this post can help somebody else out. I purchased 5L of KAST 5w30 Fully Synthetic. Just under £50 for the 5 litres and OEM filter.

Just a follow up in case anyone gets similar noises. The chugging noise was fixed with an oil change. 4.7l of fully synthetic oil cost £50. The whining noise was caused by a worn auxiliary belt. I have had it changed for around £100.

Right. I am back with my completely lay person questions. Please be kind This video shows the "chuddering" sound that I reguarly have. Is this normal This video shows the "whining" sound on top of the "chuddering". It comes on at different times and I have not been able to determine what causes the "whining". Thanks for any help

Hi all, I am a long time lurker (13 months) of the forum and I have decided to finally say hi. By way of background, I am a Nissan fan boy who is training as a solicitor. Unfortunately this means I have been in debt for all my adult life. However, last year at 25 I finally had enough savings to join you guys with one of my dream cars. I picked up my 350z at a good price with 100k miles on the taco. I am hoping to be able to meet some of you guys at Japfest and get some advice on maintenance. I am completely oblivious when it comes to cars but I am keen to learn. Other than that I just wanted to say hello and get more involved in the community. Thanks for having me.
