  1. This car looks great Love the lights and the skirts, very cool.
  2. I got my stereo done, happy about that. Turns out Geoff Capes fits the gear knobs at Nissan and he gets Eddie Hall to give them a little tighten at the end. Who knew? So, the original: Not scary at all pulling your dash apart: And then the new one in place: Feels great to modernise that. I love music from Spotify and now I've got my hands free audio and DAB and whatever. It sounds great too, that Bose setup is not too bad at all when driven with a decent hu. It has spawned a new job though to make the centre console pretty as it got a bit scratched during that installation.
  3. This looks fantastic, love it. I do love those Chargespeed bumpers. I have a liking for funky colour leather interiors and I am wondering whether to source some tan leather for mine. Hmmmm.....
  4. Welcome. I'm a new guy around here too and had the same thoughts as you. I put up a wanted ad and a lovely guy contacted me that was thinking of selling his. I'd bought it by that weekend and can say that if you are looking for a car to enjoy, you will enjoy a 350. I can't stop driving mine.
  5. Driving along the A6 heading home from work tonight and could barely believe my eyes, I see a blue 350z roadster coming the other way. Both of us pass, roofs down, I give a massive thumbs up but she was too busy watching the road to take in the joy of seeing another Z. I'd only just been thinking I don't see many Z cars around and then there it was. Don't know if the owner is on here at all but if you are, lovely roadster
  6. I had a Primera that we stuck a turbo on and forged everything and what not, was a cool build. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with NPOC, that's been my 'home' club for 13yrs and in my experience they're a fantastic bunch. I've had others cars in my years but I always go to events with the NPOC guys. Just to add, your thread saying hello with the zed is still there, not sure why you thought it was deleted: http://npoc.co.uk/forum/new-old-member_topic76610_page1.html I've had S13s too and recognise docwra from SXOC, I wasn't one of the big SXOC players but I do remember you always being very helpful and friendly
  7. Good advice about the GT holding the value and selling better. When I was looking, I didn't even consider not having a GT. Keep looking and go for the GT
  8. Had the car a week now, still can't stop driving it for the sake of driving it. Got my new stereo fitted today and that Bose sub is really very punchy with a decent head unit in there! It's like a little disco in my roadster
  9. I am sorted with this now. Just in case anyone stumbles upon this on the future. The blue remote wire from your PAC harness needs to plug into the smaller plug from your car harness. There is a plug opposite the single purple one. You need to get a pin and pin it into there. Then do the other side to your stereo remote wire and it all works.
  10. Sorry guys, another audio problem. I've read everything I can and still can't find my answer so apologies for another audio issue. I have a 2006 facelift car with Bose system. I've installed a new stereo, using the PAC rom harness and the ISO harness on the end into the car. Powered up fine, no sound. Turns out it's down to the amp not powering up and there is a blue wire on the PAC harness which needs to be wired up to something. So, pull it all out again and the new stereo side looks fine. There is a blue wire for the amp remote coming out of either end of the PAC unit. The stereo end will just wire up to something coming from the back of the new stereo. The car side is the problem. I can't find anything which isn't already wired up to something to hook the blue wire up to. Every wiring diagram I look at seems to declare different colours so I'm a bit stumped. Any help appreciated! Would love to know why this PAC unit doesn't plug the blue wire into something or at least come with instructions telling you it won't work as it is.
  11. I just got a roadster last week. Absolutely loving it. It's warm in the cabin when you have the windows up and the roof down. Might change my tune in winter but when they sun is out, the roof is down and the V6 is howling through that Cobra system, it's happy days.
  12. Thanks all, appreciated I tried to do the stereo today. Went into work to pick up all the fitting parts, came home excitedly to do it and couldn't get the gear knob off. Read up and found that it's a bit of a job with mole grips and stuff. Abandoned that and washed it again instead. I haven't got two sets of grips so I'll have to tackle this job another day!! After needing weird pac harnesses, this is a double amusing welcome to Z world!!! Had to sit and laugh at falling at the first hurdle though.
  13. This looks lovely. Giving me ideas I'm not supposed to be having five days into Z ownership.
  14. This is the thread for what isn't supposed to be starting life as a build thread. However, that's what I said when I bought my Legacy B4 RSK so let's just see how it goes. April 2017, I bought my roadster. I think I got extremely lucky with this car. It's in amazing condition, 2006 rev up, 32k with full Nissan history. It's a former club car then got traded into Nissan where it was bought by another club member. He installed a Cobra system and then had to sell up for genuine work reasons. I posted up a wanted advert, he responded and the rest is history. I even have the remainder of the warranty even though it was a private sale, really very good buy. She's the GT model. I believe the roadsters don't usually come with steering wheel radio controls but this one does have those. The long term previous owner installed a JWT Pop Charger. The last owner installed a Cobra resonated system, the Y-Pipe and the middle/back. It sounds AMAZING. I've had various turbo cars before, my Legacy twin turbo sounds incredible now but this is the best sounding car I've ever had. It wails and howls and it's just crazy good!! I've only had it since Sunday and I can't stop driving it. I know the coupe guys don't care much for the look of the roadster but when you get the roof down and that engine howling, it's just so addictive!!! The condition of this car is just amazing. She's a pure garage queen. It's my daily now though but she will be lavished with love and wax. I will definitely be changing the stereo, I like to play music from my phone. I've got one already to go in and I've ordered all the bits, the PAC harness and facia etc. Oh she has a stubby aerial and LED lights for the back number plate. Pretty sure that's where the build will end really. Heh.
  15. Probably JAE I would have thought. I've been out this afternoon again, just can't stop driving it!
  16. Hi Ricky, Yes I did mate but thanks so much for offering to see that for me and for filling me in on all I needed to know before buying
  17. I've got one today. Went for the rev up so paying the higher tax. It's 46 quid a month which is a good laugh, a good fun prank from the government I love the car so I'm happy
  18. It's gorgeous, only 32k miles on it and it's just lovely in every way. Drives like new. Very happy new owner. First change will be the stereo, I like having a nice hu with connectivity for my phone.
  19. As quickly as that, I now have a 350Z roadster!! A response to my wanted advert on this forum. It's a club car, such a lovely guy I bought it for and it's a fabulous car. We sorted it all out today and it's now mine. Spent today driving it around. It's mostly standard but has Cobra from Y pipe and also a JWT Pop Charger. It sounds like heaven opening up, it's lovely. It's the rev up version I went for. Feeling a bit hyper and excited right now!!
  20. Well as quickly as that, I have one!!
  21. I'm switching the lower tax to a would be nice also as I'm learning as I go, it's not the be all and end all.
  22. Ok guys, thanks for the heads up. Can consider that roof comment changed to a 'nice to have'. You're absolutely right really, if the rest of the car was right I wouldn't reject over the roof.
  23. Reading this thread with interest as I'm having the same searching going on for a roadster. Current debate for me = is the rev up car sufficiently better to justify the double tax. Must note that the issue for isn't paying the extra tax per se, it's the feeling of being shafted for paying double than the guy stood next to me with basically exactly the same car but a month older. Just feels like a pain point for me.
  24. Hi, I'm looking to buy a 350Z Roadster. I'm scouring the sale sites but not seeing the one for me just yet. Would be excellent if anyone is thinking of selling or perhaps has seen something around that they think might be for me if you could tip me the nod. This would be what I'm looking for: Must be: UK Car Must be: Manual Must be: Roadster Must be: GT Model Must be: Lower Tax Must be: Great condition, no roof tears etc. Would be nice: Azure Blue Would be nice: Under 60k miles Would be nice: Rays wheels Many thanks, Steve
