  1. They're Japspeed, but all decats are the same, they're either silenced or not silenced, mine aren't. Thanks, didn't know you could get silenced ones. Just one last thing, have you never had problems at the MOT with the tester noticing that the cats are physically missing even though it passes emissions?
  2. Kyle, In my last MOT the testers could barely get a reading off my exhaust, and now I'm getting a o2 sensor CEL. Do you think that means I'm running lean, and could the two be related? How would you fix running lean? Cheers! Honestly no idea mate. Did the tester mention it, or did you just notice it on the screen or printout? They were standing around scratching their heads for ages during the test, a bunch of testers came over and were all looking at the car and the reader. They asked me to hold it at higher revs for a while and then finally moved on. I asked what was up, and they said they just struggled to get any reading. I asked if it was a problem and he just shrugged. I know my reading was very low, especially low for decats, but nothing was mentioned of it If the car isn't sounding strange and/or you haven't fitted a load of breather mods like cone filters and plenum spacers, it shouldn't be running lean. I'm not sure if the possible faulty sensor could cause it to run lean or not. Have you figured out which one it is yet? You were able to pass an MOT with test pipes? Yea, flawlessly passed emissions. In that case I'm off to throw my cats in the bin haha What test pipes do you have?

  4. Sure it's not just wrapped matte black? It's silver in the engine bay too.

    Unknown HFC

That's great thanks, I'm not sure when my next opportunity to get photo's of the underneath will be unfortunately. The next I'm certain of would be at the end of the month when I'm getting an alignment done.

    Unknown HFC

When I bought my 350Z a couple of months ago it came with HFC already installed. Unfortunately the person selling did not know what brand they were and there doesn't seem to be any paperwork that came with the car that would suggest what they are. When it was getting serviced I'd asked my mechanic to see if he could see any sort of branding on them but he said he couldn't see any but admitted he has no experience with modified parts so he could have missed something (unfortunately I couldn't be there to have a look myself). I'm grasping at straws here but would there by any way of identifying them? Do the different brands look in any way distinct etc.?
  7. I got a full set of MPS4 for £550 + VAT (standard Rays). Must say I'm well pleased with them, although there were some random budget tyres on when I got the tyre so it may be better waiting for someone with MPSS experience to comment.

    Renegade Run 6

Looks like a good day out! Was hoping to make this one but I was driving back from Donegal on Sunday, wouldn't mind a look at that Nismo 370Z!
  9. Thanks very much, was toying with replacing the gear knob anyway so guess it's half done for me haha
  10. I noticed today when I parked that my gear knob seems twisted off to one side, when I went to twist it back it seems the shaft is moving with it (on second thought it could just be the material...). Is this a normal enough occurrence or is there an underlying problem? Here's a quick video of what I mean.
  11. Thanks Ekona, exactly what I wanted
  12. I've the stock Ray's, I believe 225/45/18, 245/45/18
  13. Can you give a link? Only one I see is comparing the MP4S against the MPSS
  14. Just wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between these two tyres and how they rate against each other?
  15. Does anyone know if you can fit two 245/45/18 tyres inside the Z? (minus alloys)
  16. I've just noticed that the door handle seems to be coming off my interior door handle where it meets the main door skin. Hopefully this picture will help explain: Anyone what the best way to go about addressing this?
  17. Thanks for sharing, that's quite interesting! That's crazy low milage for the year lol
  18. I was under the impression the washer reservoir holds approx. 10 litres? My washers stopped working last night, you could hear the motor working but nothing happened. Brimmed the washer reservoir this morning and they work fine. Sorry I can't be of much help.
  19. Thanks, that's pretty much what I was curious about.
  20. Nope, I already have one. It was purely academic curiosity.
  21. Aye, I was grasping at straws that someone would have dyno readings from the one car on the same dyno over time. Guess it was a bit of a long shot haha
  22. Just as a curiosity, I know engines can lose power through the years so I'm wondering is there any rough rule of thumb of how much power a VQ loses over it's lifetime? Be interesting to see if anyone has a few dyno read outs of their car over time.
  23. OK, this strut doesn't doesn't seem to be fitting correctly on the ball joint. It looks like it needs to be pushed further in for the spring to fit but I can't get it to go any further. Would I be safer taking the bracket off and seating the ball joint and then bolting it back onto the car rather than fitting the bracket to the car and then trying to seat the ball joint?
  24. I'm guessing I need to put the strut on the ball joint and then try to get the wee clip/spring back in? I seem to be having trouble getting it into the hole once it's pushed onto the ball joint
