  1. I recently got a new window switch unit fitted but I've noticed that when the door is opened it hits off the roof. It's fine when closing as the auto-lowering mechanism has lowered the window enough to close it no problem. Do I just need to take the door panel off to do the reset procedure or is this a different problem?

  2. Anyone know of somewhere where I can get rust removed on the underside of my Z and it underseaL/waxoiled to try and prevent further rust? I'm based around Belfast but don't mind travelling to get good work done.

  3. If you wouldn't mind sticking some photo's up if you get the chance of before and after that would be much appreciated. I'm trying to contact places in a panic about getting it sorted, hate rust with an absolute passion.

  4. Had a look under my Z (2003 ~100k) when it was getting aligned and there seems to be quite a bit of rust. It looks quite bad to me but would like a more informed opinion rather than paranoia.

  5. My airbag light has came on again, last time it happened it was the passenger seat airbag. I've had a look through the forum about checking the yellow under seat connecter and resetting the light. I couldn't see anything in any of the threads about if you need to disconnect the battery before you do this?

Am I free to just to disconnect and connect the yellow connector under the seat as much as I want with doing anything? No disconnect of battery or anything like that?

Sorry if this is a bit naive but I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to fiddling with airbags haha

  6. I just started a new job in Jan after 7 years of being a student so decided to treat myself :D Picked this up around the end of Jan, it came with High Flow-Cats already installed as well.

I've not really done that much to it so far mod wise, I'm concentrating on getting git back to a perfect a base as I can. One of the few things I've done is to replace that TV mast masquerading as an aerial haha (Thanks to KyleR for recommending which one to get)

It also got a full service and a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4's - the difference between these and the tyres that were on before is unbelievable!

I also decided to replace the stock filter when it was getting it's service, from reading around I decided to go for the Cosworth filter.

I'm not expecting much but from what I've read the stock air box with a panel seems to be the best for performance (plus I may be a Coswroth fanboy haha)...although the look and sound of a popcharger/CAI is tempting...

The last thing I've done for the moment is having it booked in with Dyna Tune for an UpRev for mid April :D (apologies for the randomly different sizing of the images haha)

  7. I have a 2003 350Z which as far as I'm aware is Kuro Black, the paint isn't in a condition I'm overly happy with just due to general wear and tear over the years so I'm pondering getting a respray at some point.

Now for the stupid question :D

If I were to respray the car the same colour but add in a metallic flake is it technically the same colour? Or is it a case of once it's metallic it's a new "colour" rather than there being solid Kuro and metallic Kuro?

I'm just more curious in terms of will it still match paperwork etc that states what colour the car should be/was when it was made.

    Hopefully that all made sense....

  8. I went out to start my 350 this morning, turned the key and nothing happened. Had a look at the battery and the positive terminal seemed to have worked lose, I pushed it back on and the car started fine so off I went. Just as I got into work I remembered that you're always supposed to disconnect the negative first.

Is there any chance this could have caused any damage etc? Or is there anything I can do to check/minimise etc.

  9. haha it was more of a grasp at straws piece of logic than anything else!

I'm not planning to add any decals or anything like that, the only other interior colouring I had in mind was a retrimming parts in a dark leather with orange stitching. A fellow member has done something like what I'm after on his steering wheel here - http://s442.photobuc...a68fb8.jpg.html

P.S. Just seen your car project site in your sig. Really nice idea and beautiful car!
