I'd keep it as is, looks fantastic! Also what bonnet is that?

I know MPSS seem to be an all round favourite but are they really £200 better than avons?!
Worth every penny IMO.

Anyone know of somewhere where I can get rust removed on the underside of my Z and it underseaL/waxoiled to try and prevent further rust? I'm based around Belfast but don't mind travelling to get good work done.
-
If you wouldn't mind sticking some photo's up if you get the chance of before and after that would be much appreciated. I'm trying to contact places in a panic about getting it sorted, hate rust with an absolute passion.

Had a look under my Z (2003 ~100k) when it was getting aligned and there seems to be quite a bit of rust. It looks quite bad to me but would like a more informed opinion rather than paranoia.

I recently changed my drivers side window switch control unit, when I had the switch out I noticed there are 3 holes to screw the door handle onto the door card. I only seem to have 1 screw and it's leaving the door handle not fitting snugly against the door card. Does anyone know what size those screws happen to be?

Could be interested in a group buy depending on final price etc.

Just thought I'd give an update on this, the photo below is the difference in oil level after around 1,000 miles. Would that be about 0.5 litre of a difference?

My airbag light has came on again, last time it happened it was the passenger seat airbag. I've had a look through the forum about checking the yellow under seat connecter and resetting the light. I couldn't see anything in any of the threads about if you need to disconnect the battery before you do this?
Am I free to just to disconnect and connect the yellow connector under the seat as much as I want with doing anything? No disconnect of battery or anything like that?
Sorry if this is a bit naive but I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to fiddling with airbags haha

That's great, thanks guys

I just started a new job in Jan after 7 years of being a student so decided to treat myself Picked this up around the end of Jan, it came with High Flow-Cats already installed as well.
I've not really done that much to it so far mod wise, I'm concentrating on getting git back to a perfect a base as I can. One of the few things I've done is to replace that TV mast masquerading as an aerial haha (Thanks to KyleR for recommending which one to get)
It also got a full service and a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4's - the difference between these and the tyres that were on before is unbelievable!
I also decided to replace the stock filter when it was getting it's service, from reading around I decided to go for the Cosworth filter.
I'm not expecting much but from what I've read the stock air box with a panel seems to be the best for performance (plus I may be a Coswroth fanboy haha)...although the look and sound of a popcharger/CAI is tempting...
The last thing I've done for the moment is having it booked in with Dyna Tune for an UpRev for mid April (apologies for the randomly different sizing of the images haha)

Cheers guys, I just wasn't sure if you could have a metallic or solid version of the same paint code. Seems a shame to go to the bother of sending the book off to change from black to black  might just have to go for neon green or something

I have a 2003 350Z which as far as I'm aware is Kuro Black, the paint isn't in a condition I'm overly happy with just due to general wear and tear over the years so I'm pondering getting a respray at some point.
Now for the stupid question
If I were to respray the car the same colour but add in a metallic flake is it technically the same colour? Or is it a case of once it's metallic it's a new "colour" rather than there being solid Kuro and metallic Kuro?
I'm just more curious in terms of will it still match paperwork etc that states what colour the car should be/was when it was made.
Hopefully that all made sense....

I got this one myself (looks like it could be the same as the one modo posted)

Signal reception is identical to the old aerial, even for the small local stations.

When I bought my Z it came with a second key that was brand new, however, I've noted that you need to press either of the buttons about half a dozen times to unlock/lock and you need to be within about 3/4 feet as well.
Any idea as to why/how to fix?

The thing is i'm old enough to remember cars without cats and i don't remember people just passing out in traffic ??
I'd imagine it's due to the small confines of a car cockpit in comparison to be vented out into the atmosphere.

Assuming you didnt push the positive back on with a metal spanner or anything?
haha nope, I just pushed using the plastic cover that's on the positive.
Thanks for your help guys.

I went out to start my 350 this morning, turned the key and nothing happened. Had a look at the battery and the positive terminal seemed to have worked lose, I pushed it back on and the car started fine so off I went. Just as I got into work I remembered that you're always supposed to disconnect the negative first.
Is there any chance this could have caused any damage etc? Or is there anything I can do to check/minimise etc.

Cheers for the photos guys, Shezza I love the red strut bar too! Just need some inspiration to avoid be doing something boring and buying black ones haha

haha it was more of a grasp at straws piece of logic than anything else!
I'm not planning to add any decals or anything like that, the only other interior colouring I had in mind was a retrimming parts in a dark leather with orange stitching. A fellow member has done something like what I'm after on his steering wheel here - http://s442.photobuc...a68fb8.jpg.html
P.S. Just seen your car project site in your sig. Really nice idea and beautiful car!

Just looking some opinions on what colour Samco hoses to go for for a black 350Z? I was thinking orange...just cause I like orange haha I suppose they would match the orange leather as well.
Anyone any other pics/opinions?

Cheers for the better photo, might look into getting one myself!

Sorry but what is the Zunsport you're referring too lol The bumper grill?

Thanks for the photo's, would you have any on how it fits once you reach the pillar by the windscreen? If you just continue along the headliner does that not interfere with the curtain air bag at all?
Window Hitting Roof When Opening
in 350Z Technical
Posted
I recently got a new window switch unit fitted but I've noticed that when the door is opened it hits off the roof. It's fine when closing as the auto-lowering mechanism has lowered the window enough to close it no problem. Do I just need to take the door panel off to do the reset procedure or is this a different problem?
