Good write up on a clear coat repair here.

Else Google "370z B pillar removal" and there's a few how to guides on removing the pillars without snapping the 3 clips. Provided you've got patience and a trim removal tool (flathead screwdriver and some tape/sponge) it's a DIY job and you can fudge a repair on the clips.

Supposedly A and B pillars need to be removed to change the windscreen. . .

Thanks for this, I think mine are beyond repair as I don't think they are proper carbon fibre, more of a sticker. I can get the b-pillars off the car, but can't get the sticker off the trim. Maybe I'll give it a go, what's then worst that can happen

  2. As above, don't really want to buy from Nissan. Ideally I need both. Mine have carbon covers and they were the flimsy type and now part of the lacquer is coming off, I think if I try and remove the cover the trim will snap.

  3. I want the same, but want one like the Evo-r but wish they were made in UK. Only seen Evo-r or one from China on ebay. Its annoying how little is made for the 370z vs the 350z.

I was speaking to fibreworx a while ago and they said if they are provided with a bumper they could make one. It's the sort of thing where a group buy is needed.

  4. Mine may be for sale still at the right price.

It's a 2010, but I paid Horsham Developments to fit a new uprated gallery gasket, also had axle click sorted and had the steering lock fuse removed, they are the common faults with Zeds.

Mine is modified and has had a custom exhaust, body kit etc and is the GT Model with Sat Nav etc

It was up for sale on here, but there wasn't any interest, not a great time to be selling cars.

    Here is the link.

    Thanks

  5. Time to sell my 2010 370z GT after 4 years of ownership. 70,000miles, Subtle modifications, including GTR vents & custom headlights by RSV Graphics in Birmingham, Tarmac Sport side skirts and 3 piece front splitter, Carbon Signal Duckbill spoiler, tinted windows, wrapped roof, carbon mirror covers, K&N panel filters, GTR start button, custom Top gear exhaust including Torqen High flow cats, calipers painted BMW Austin yellow, custom 370 GT decals by UTWS - maintained by Revtech Automotive in Bournemouth axle click removed, preventative measures to stop the common steering lock failure (fuse removed) , gallery gasket and timing chain replaced by Horsham Developments. The car gets the right attention, the mods are subtle enough to be enhancing, but not a distraction, the exhaust gives a lovely sound, but isn't intrusive.

    Now the usual bits.

    Satnav

    Heated leather seats

    Electric heated mirrors

    Rain sensitive wipers

    USB link for Iphone/Android

    Reverse camera

    Jukebox

    Multifunction Fog light

    Gloss Black Zed badge

    7sp tiptronic

    328bhp 3.7l V6

    MOT until March 2021

    Now the bad bits.

The alloys do have a bit of curbing and could do with a refurb.

The skirts have minors cracks in.

A bit of lacquer is coming off of one of the carbon b-pillar covers.

    £11,600

I had a very similar feel on my old 350z HR, turned out the diff bush had blown, if you blast your car off regularly with a jetwash you won't even notice the fluid has leaked out so it can be tricky to spot. It had covered 62k when I realised, replaced them with whiteline bushes and it tightened the feel of the car up, but I did replace the compression arm bushes at the same time so that might also have helped. How old is the car and what mileage has it done? W brace could be another culprit if it has rotted taking a bit of rigidity away.

Ah thanks for the reply, it is a 2010 on 70k miles. My mechanic checked all bushes and said no signs of splits in any and everything there is solid. I suspect the W brace has rotted as they don't seem to last long. Going to get the alignment done next week, if not w brace is the next stop. Thanks.

Just to note and i am not suggesting this is the case but “they” can make any value of toe/camber/caster appear green on a printout by overriding the required values. For example my printout is green but camber is -2’30 which is not factory spec, it was just easier for guy to see on screen when altering rear arms then he tweaks it from there and the printout is all green. Nothing is in factory specs but it is green in relation to what i asked for. So worth just checking the after printout to make sure all is ok, also again, does anyone else drive the car as i know my wife could hit a pothole/kerb and never mention anything to me which could throw something out without you realising.

  8. Thanks, I did a fair bit of research before getting the tyres and they did have great reviews at the time. I am pretty sure when I had the alignment done then the after had all the tolerances in green, but I will have a look. It probably is a good idea to get someone to have another look at the bushes, arb linkages and alignment. Just need to find someone with an Eagle eye who can spot something.

  9. Hi guys, I've put up with it for ages, but had enough now, the steering on my Zed is so light and vague, it doesn't at all feel responsive. I think the car may have had a knock before I owned it. It seems to have a bit of an uneven tyre wear issue and I've had the wheels hunter aligned last year and it made no difference.

I need some advice on who I can take it to in order to get this resolved. My mechanic says the bushes all look fine, with no excess play. I've driven another Zed previously and it was a lot more connected and stiffer, it was unmodified.

I want the car to feel better and I want to enjoy driving it more than I do.

    Any advice appreciated.

When you connected your phone did you set your USB config to 'Media Transfer' rather than 'Charging'?

I personally always use Bluetooth on my P30 but that'd be my first guess as to why it might not connect correctly.

Thanks, will try that again. Tried Bluetooth and I can get a connection for either calls or music but not both.

  11. Hi, replaced my mobile from an iPhone 7 to a Huawei P30 Pro. I used to plug my phone into the USB in the centre console and it would play my music through the head unit. I bought a usb-c cable and plugged it in and the phone charges, but can't play music. Any advice for connecting an android via USB rather than Bluetooth?
