  4. How did you get on with these rich? i was thinking about getting them myself. They are manufactured by the same company that manufactures the ones for whiteline according to the seller, a company called "Lii Chua". have you had any issues?
  5. Do you still have the rear strut z plate available ? Cheers
  6. My first full weekend with my Zed. Couldn't be happier such a fun car to drive
  7. I am wanting to spray various parts of my interior in gloss black so i am looking for door switch panels (just the panels) switches arent required Thanks Dan
  8. Morning all, it's Duston garage in Duston, surprisingly. It's part of the Bosch car service network. Been open for about 70 years so they must be doing something right.
  9. Ah okay, thanks. I'll start building my little black book of people in the area. I'm glad I chose that garage, to be honest, as they all seem pretty genuine and also have a well kitted out workshop for future mods (bushes, suspension etc.) but thanks for the post
  10. So I've just got back and the code was P1162 which I believe after a quick google search is a "P1162 Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction" correct me if I wrong. The reason I had to search is due to it not telling the chap on his readout. As a result of this and due to the fact he liked my car he gave me the diagnostic for free.. which I can't complain.
  11. Thanks for the offer , due to convenience I'll use the garage for this one and then maybe look into buying some kit in the future this weeks a tad mental with work
  12. Thanks for your replies, I've found a garage close to where I live that has 5 star reviews of previous customers so I shall give them a go. I'm new to Northampton so good to know that there are those places, mentioned above, about for future reference. As for the car it is completely standard so time shall tell Thanks again
  13. So my honey moon period is over for my Zed, I bought the car on Saturday and last night the engine warning light came on, the engine still performs fine it just has the light on. I have just rang my local Nissan Dealer and they cant fit me in until the 6th, this isn't the end of the world, just means I am without a car until then and that i'll have to cycle to work. Anyway, does anybody know of any garages in Northampton that would be able to read the error code? would any garage with a diagnostic kit suffice? any help would be much appreciated
  14. That would be nice. Sadly I have a few mechanical issues that need addressing first such as new drop links
  15. So, as luck would have it, a 350z came up for sale 10 miles from where my parents live. Although originally I was looking at a GT, I felt I couldn't miss out on this one. Its a 2004 Azure Blue Zed with only 30K on the clock used as a "weekend toy" by its previous owner who just didn't use it (it only did 200 miles last year!!).Apart from a stone chip on the bonnet and then a few more on the front bumper it's in really good condition. It came with 12 months warranty through VW ( where I purchased it from) and has 7 months tax. Now time to save and buy some goodies Here are a few pics taken after several hours of washing, polishing, and giggle like a small child...
  16. As for the brokers/specialists "Prestige keep moving" quoted me £1400 ! I will look into the others
  17. yeah I attempted to get through but gave up after waiting 15 minutes at the end of some horrendous music. I shall try again when i have regained my hearing.
  18. So I've been inquiring about insurance for a 350z and have been quote most figures under the sun so,I thought I would give "compare the market" a go. I was quoted approx. £630 for 12 months ( Im 27 held a licence for 10 years and have around 6-7 years no claims) by Hastings Essential. Has anybody used compare the market before and how realistic are their quotes? or do they then add on "X" amount when you ring them up? I know this is only a quote hence it can change but would it change much ? I appreciate any help given thanks
  19. Thanks, GMballistic.Had a good read of these earlier will definitely come in handy when I go to have a look at some cars
  20. Hi Newbie here, I'm currently reading as many guides, reviews and posts regarding 350Z's as possible before I head out into the big bad world and purchase one for myself I shall keep you all posted with my hopefully successful hunt Thanks, Dan
